Odd smell
quick in the microwave. pros - good texture for microwave rice. CONS - Very pungent off-putting smell- almost chemically. very bland mediocre taste with a hint of the weird smell. Had to load it up with seasoning, chili crisp, and sesame oil and a fried egg just to eat it. very disappointed would not buy again.

Pretty bad
I went so far as to empty the contents into a microwave safe bowl, as I prefer to err on the side of caution when it comes to microwaving in plastic. The result was a NO on all levels. It smelled like chemicals and the taste and texture was very synthetic. I tried adding a bit of butter, but the chemical smell was too overpowering to mask.

The portion size is amazing as well it fed my family of six. I will be buying this package again, but in a different rice.

Mild Flavor, but Kids Liked It
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids are picky eaters, and they really enjoyed this rice. For quick meals, it’s very convenient. The microwaveable packaging is easy to open and prepare. The packaging design is also very eye catching. However, I thought the flavor was just ok. I did not get any strong taste of butter in the butter flavored rice. All in all, it just tasted like regular rice to me. Overall, I liked the look of the packaging, the convenience to prepare, and that my kids liked it. However, I’m not sure it’s worth a premium over any other microwaveable rice.

The rice is really tender so don’t cook it beyond what is recommended on the package. We had teriyaki meatballs with the butter rice and mixed vegetables. It was absolutely delicious.

Yummy rice for everyone!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy having ready made food when I’m in a time crunch and my family is hungry now! Rice is one of our favorite side dishes. Especially one like this flavor. To prepare it I put it in the microwave and within minutes it was ready. I made my version and put it side by side for my family. The only thing they mentioned was that it was different colors, the pouch has a beige color to the rice and mine was white. As far as taste they said it was very similar to the one I prepared. I’d be willing to try out other flavors in case of a dinner emergency.

Flavor was too spicy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically loved buttered rice, and often buy rice packaged as this one was to make it easy to heat and eat in 90 seconds. Unfortunately, the flavor on this particular rice missed the mark for me. The added garlic purée, onion powder, and pepper left my lips burning and gave the rice a much spicier flavor than expected for something that was supposed to be a simple buttered rice flavor. It was very easy to prepare, and I may try other flavors from the compan, but this particular flavor was not for me. My 3 1/2 year-old daughter also did not care for it.

I tried a bite and it tasted like synthetic butter. The rice tasted old. We were so ready to purchase multiples of this product but due to the taste that won’t be happening. It is easy to prepare.

The rice heats up in 90 seconds and comes out fluffy with a rich, buttery flavor that’s comforting without being too salty. It's perfect as a quick side dish, especially for kids or picky eaters. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cook a lot of rice for my family. So much so my youngest has begun to dread it. But last night he actually wanted some so i gave him the Butter Belle from 4 Sisters. I thought it was funny that the butter smells like movie theater popcorn butter. The taste was pretty faint. He let his sister and I try and quickly ate up the rest of the rice himself. We all agreed it was really good and a little bit of salt sent it over the top. I like to make steamed rice in the rice cooker but having instant rice on hand is good for quick easy meals and packing lunches in the office.
