Q: Does this frame need to be connected to WiFi or can it be plugged into the wall and used without WiFi

A: All of our WIFI photo frames can be used without WIFI. You can usually skip the setup wizard, turn WIFI off, and just use 32GB SD cards or USB thumb drives. Most of these frames can also connect to a computer using USB cable. Contact support@aluratek.com if you need further assistance.

If you want to utilize its wireless photo sharing features, then yes, it needs to be connected to Wi-Fi. If you plan to load photos via USB or SD card, then Wi-Fi is not necessary for viewing them. This frame is perfect for my office desk as it doesn't take up much space at all. I like when I'm at work and my wife and kiddos will send me pics. The touchscreen is easy to navigate and good picture quality I feel.
