We ate this with crackers and straight out of the tin and the whole family, including our 3 year old daughter, loved it! This Albacore tune has the perfect lemon taste without it being too overpowering! This would also taste wonderful with pasta! Great quality tuna and the packaging is so cool! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tunafish was delicious. I prepared it with a little bit of mayo and sliced up cucumbers, and it was a very filling lunch. It was packed in oil olive oil that drained out easily. It comes in a cute little box and the lid was easy to peel off. It’s a great high protein snack or lunch . It would be good in a tuna melt sandwich or tuna noodle casserole as well. It was nice to know it was wild caught, which is so healthy! I received an incentive to write this review.

I love the fact that they share where it was sourced and have such simple (but perfectly paired) ingredients. The olive oil it came packed in was delicious had a very light flavor. The lemon was super subtle but very noticeable and pleasant. The tuna itself was meaty and firm and what I consider as the perfect texture for canned fish. This would be such an easy way to make a quick meal: on a salad, mixed with aioli and capers for a tuna salad, or just by itself! I received an incentive to write this review.

The size is good to put in a lunch box or backpack for on the go. I wish the can looked a little better as it looks a little like cat food. The taste is good. Nothing crazy good or bad. I think I would prefer something with a bit more flavor. I also don't like it packed in oil I received an incentive to write this review.

The lemon flavor is fresh tasting and not too fishy. When you initially open the can, you can definitely tell that the juice is olive oil, and not just water like other tuna. This feels more gourmet than any other tuna that you would get at the store. I highly reccomend! I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love the bright, fresh lemon flavor of this canned tuna. The lemon is rather subtle though and doesn't really permeate the fish. I appreciate that it's packed with 100% olive oil for extra flavor and nutrition. I like fishwife products and this isn't an exception but I don't think it's their best or most unique tinned fish option. The flavor isn't that complex or interesting. I ate it with a hunk of sourdough and some red pepper flakes for a quick lunch. It was definitely good. It's just not as amazing as some of their other products. Good flavor and texture, mixed well to make a tuna sandwich and we may try with some pasta next time for the pescatarians in our house. The only additions are olive oil, salt, and lemon, why is it so expensive? It made nice little tuna melts but it wasn’t anything memorable or special, so I won’t be purchasing this again. The can itself was plain and didn’t have any writing in it. The tuna itself seemed to be of great quality. It wasn’t fishy tasting at all! It is clearly of much higher quality than the tuna I usually purchase. I tried it by itself and then made it into a tuna salad sandwich. I would recommend this in any of your tuna dishes! The fact that it’s advertised as pole and line caught and packed in Spain was intriguing. Also the box design is very pretty. The quality of the fish was great! Upon opening the can, the fish looked to be in one piece which is always a good sign. The lemon flavor is subtle and did not interfere with mixing in mayonnaise. I used my tuna salad inside of a croissant sandwich and it was devine. I received an incentive to write this review.

We tried it on its own and then also made a bit of tuna salad as well. Personally I would’ve preferred a bit more salt to balance out the lemon, but it’s also nice that it’s not so salty so we can add our own salt to taste. Seriously though the packaging on this is so eye-catching and well done, one could only hope that the attention of detail on the box would represent what’s inside and upon first taste, I was relieved that it actually does. This tuna taste fresh and normally, I don’t prefer flavored options, but this one is really good, the Spanish lemon is vibrant but subtle and does not taste artificial at all or like it’s trying to cover up something else, is tuna also uses Spanish olive oil and a touch of salt, the flavor profile is really good and the ingredients quality. The packaging is so cute and the fish is delicious but I’m not sure if I did a blind taste test if I’d confidently know this one from a lesser costing brand. I will say that there is a difference in taste in that this doesn’t need mayo or spices, so I do think the price is at least somewhat warranted since my kids are eating it without added stuff. No nasty items in the can! The flavor was good, but honestly not much difference than any other can of tuna. I mixed in a little may and spread on toasted sourdough for a great lunch item. The rest of my family doesn't eat canned fish of any kind, but I'm always up to try new or different seafood, canned or fresh. While the presentation is truly adorable, the tuna itself is just, eh. The initial notes are bright lemon and delicious tuna, but then it ends with the dryest taste of canned fish I've had in years. (I double checked the expiration) Yes, you can doctor it up, but for the price per can, I expected to be able to eat it plain or at least as a topper on a salad. I'll eat the remainder, but definitely not straight up. I received an incentive to write this review.

I’ve had many Fishwife products. This is by far the best I’ve had. The flavor is outstanding. Just the right amount of lemon. I added a little sprinkle of Trader Joe’s Citrus spice. The price on Target is excellent too. Far less expensive than the Fishwife website.
