Sturdy Sauce High Protein Marinara Pasta Sauce - 17oz

I’m confused by the high reviews. It has, no joke, an AWFUL taste. Shook it and added it to basic noodles. The taste is crazy bitter. I actually spat it out an had my husband taste it just in case and he was appalled at how bitter it was

First of you are whey sensitive this product is not for you. So if you drink whey in a smoothie it fine. I always find that once whey is heated the flavor of whey changes drastically that is the main reason I never used whey in cooking. I would not buy this product so this is my opinion if you are a die hard whey fan and don't mind the taste when you heat whey and want a boost of protein then try this sauce.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s not terrible but I wouldn’t buy it. It’s hard to put 80 grams of protein in something and it not taste different then what your use too. You can use it for a lot of things pasta, dip etc. it might be better with more ingredients other than spaghetti, which is what I made with it.

My 5 year old and I thought it was ok. Hubby couldn’t finish his meal. I think it’s great that it’s packed with protein. Id give another flavor a try.

It has a rich , natural tomato flavor without being too acidic, and the seasoning is well balanced. The texture is thick , with makes it perfect for pasta, pizza or even as a dipping sauce. I also like that the ingredients are simple and the sauce doesn’t taste watery.

I liked the slightly chunky texture. I could taste the herbs in the sauce, but also found it a bit acidic or tart, or maybe sour would be the way to describe it. it didn’t taste like protein powder, but I guess I definitely am used to a sweeter sauce. So I think this might be perfect for people who chafe sweet sauces! It definitely wasn’t bad, and I could think of ways to make it more to my preferred taste.

I prefer sweet sauces so it wasn’t really my thing. It does taste great for being so high in protein. The sauce is flavorful and seasoned well. It is very thick and fairly salty. I like salty but not everyone does. Definitely worth checking out.

On a scale of 1-10, Sturdy marinara is a 4 with being spicy for me. I like that it has a bit of a kick to it. 20 grams of protein for a 1/2 cup serving- 4 servings per jar- Low in carbs at 10g per serving Sodium is 550mg per serving Sauce has a nice thickness to it, great taste too and I didn’t experience an aftertaste or any chalky texture.
