Packaging is easy to use and understand, the sgade is brighter than youd think but us very beautiful, applying it is very easy its not messy, it makes your hair smooth and shiny, it smells like dasies and roses.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes and tons of excitement at the thought of trying out Revlon's ColorSilk Beautiful Color ™ Hair Color, in the shade Dark Brown. It's supposed to have great gray coverage and I was in desperate need of that. I have gray hair at my hairline, especially around my temples. I also have significant thinning there and the two in combination really work negatively on my self esteem and confidence. It's been some years since I last had my hair colored. As a young teen my mom let me start expressing myself through coloring my own hair. I changed up my look at least once every other month. I'm an old pro at box dye, so I had no qualms about doing this myself. First things first, I noticed that there was little to no smell. As I said, it's been awhile since I've had my hair done at all. Apparently things in the hair care world have changed! There's no harsh smell at all! What I did smell was lightly floral and down right pleasant. I was shocked, to say the least. Win number 1! The next thing I loved was, as always, the conditioner. Do they sell that stuff? If they do, take me to it now! The conditioner in box dye is always a winner, but there was something special about this conditioner. It is premium. I highly recommend it. Combing out my hair was easy peasy. I usually have to use a leave-in conditioner, but not on that night. After blow drying, the overall state of my hair looked and felt great! Absolutely no problems there. Once I got a good look at the color and gray coverage, that's where my disappointment set in. The color wasn't what I had expected. It made my virgin hair look a bit red. I had no red tones in my hair previous to using this dye. I wasn't too happy about it doing that to my hair and I'm still not. The gray coverage was less than ideal as well. I didn't get much coverage around my temples. I was so disappointed to see those offending strands still shining like a neon sign. Overall, I have to say I wouldn't recommend this particular hair dye. Revlon might have other kinds of dye but this one isn't it. Report Card : D+ : inconsistent gray coverage, adds a red tone. Ms. Gallian says, "You need to study harder and do better."

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I’m very impressed with the product. It was easy to mix and apply. I also feel like it made a surprisingly large amount of product. I have long hair that is medium thickness and I’ll use at least a full bottle normally but I actually had some left over with this. There was a chemical scent that exists with almost every hair dye, but it wasn’t overwhelmingly strong. I personally think the color turned out accurate to the box and looks really nice. Also, my hair actually feels really good after dyeing and using the conditioner. It’s soft and extra curly. The only reason I took a star off was because they are still not considered cruelty-free which is important to me. I think, especially today it’s so common to be cruelty free it’s kind of hard to understand why they still aren’t. For that reason I won’t be repurchasing, which is unfortunate because the product is good.

I usually use 2 boxes to cover all my hair but i had one to use I have to say I love the results My hair was smoother than I thought i will be So bright and gave me just the color i want and goes with me .. I have been using Revlon hair colorsilk from more than 12 yrs in DARK BROWN or sometime MEDIUM BROWN color.But recently used medium brown and I have been seeing my color is bleeding with every shower .Today is 1 week now and seen the color Faded from all the roots and already somewhere started seeing grey showing .Did u guys change the formula as I was noticing that from last yr color fade too early but this last hair dye I did was a waste of money .Will definitely not recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used many “box” hair coloring kits. This one was fairly standard regarding the process. One thing I did notice was the small wasn’t nearly as strong as products with Ammonia. After I rinsed the product out, no smell remained. I also noticed it rinsed out so much easier. Not sure if this is anecdotal, but it was noticeable. The color came out as pictured on the box and had a nice sheen. It didn’t leave my hair as shiny and soft as other hair coloring kits I have used.
