can feel and see wires
This is the thinnest blanket I have ever seen. its literally translucent. you can see the wires. you can also feel the wires rendering uncomfortable. It barely heats up at all and not evenly. I've had other Brookstone heated throws and they heated up well and were thicker, though still didn't survive washing. I think their products are pretty much disposable these days. However no one wants a heated blanket that is so thin it's see-through.

Dangerous
I had this fur two days before deciding the safest place for it is in the trash. The power button got super hot and started to melt. I burnt myself on it turning it off. The $10 I saved on this one instead of the Sealy one I was originally looking at isn’t worth a house fire.

This blanket is essentially useless. Bought it yesterday. It doesn’t get very warm and half of the blanket doesn’t even heat up at all. This is the worst heated blanket I’ve ever owned.

TWO blankets are dead after one wash
I love how soft this blanket is but the button on the blanket is always in the wrong spot so I’m constantly turning it off by accident. Also, this is my second one and both have died after washing it once. Will purchase a different make a model next.

I hate this blanket with the on and off button on the blanket itself. It will never stay at what you put it and there’s a gigantic cord anyway so I don’t understand how this new design helps at all.

Choose pattern/style carefully
No issues with heating function, works as expected. I purchased two, one is faux fur and the other was a woven material with stripe pattern. DO NOT get the woven patterned style, it sheds fuzz like crazy and will cover your couch and clothing in webs and strands of gauzy material.

Great design but wish it was hotter.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm sitting with this on me right now so you know I recieved this item for free for review.I appreciate it. I didn't have one before and I get cold easily so it's nice to have one. I think the design is pretty good, it fits one person and a dog easily (my dogs love it). But my husband likes it too and it isn't 2 person sized. I like that it has an auto off switch but I think it's better to unplug if you have an animal that can step on it and turn it on. I like that it's washable but haven't washed it. My online complaint is I wish it was hotter, I only use the hottest mode and it's more gently heating unless I add another blanket on top (maybe that traps the heat in?) Anyways on the whole I'm pleased and I think it's good for the price.

I have tried many heated blankets that do not distribute the heat properly or end up fizzling out within a couple months. This blanket is a game changer - the heating controller is on the blanket itself so you don’t have to worry about lugging around a separate controller. Heat is distributed evenly and the blanket warms up quickly. So happy to have had the opportunity to try this one! It’s a great buy!

Positives: The material is very soft, and the cow print is cute. No shedding. Negatives: only gets very warm on the very highest setting, and even then it takes three r to warm up. On lower settings, the heat seems spotty—some areas will get slightly warm, but there are sections that never get warm at all.

Got the wrong color and it sheds a lot
The blanket is very soft and the heating works great. However, Target sent me the wrong color and it sheds SO MUCH!! I ordered a dark brown and got a gray/black. Fresh out of the package, it starting leaving little tufts on my skin, my clothing, and my bedding. The blanket does its job, but I am disappointed in receiving the wrong item and the quality of the item itself.

Just a PSA
This blanket is so soft and warm however it didn’t get hot how I like it until I put another blanket on top but this can be common with heated blankets so if it isn’t getting warm enough throw another blanket over it
