These have been really great over the past few years. However, the quality control has been slipping - one batch actually tasted like chocolate flavored peas! Made me look at the label. Still drinkable, but it made me wonder if the rest of the ingredients were properly accounted for on the label. And whether or not it had more or less protein than listed. The next batch was fine, so it was just the 4 in that container. It's really nice in coffee, regardless.

What happened?!
I used to buy these all the time and the flavor was so much better in 2024. Not sure what changed since then but these taste like how amusement park water rides smell and I can’t stand it. If you try it you’ll understand. Make it the way it used to be and we will all come back!

Bad taste
This is my first time trying a new brand of non dairy protein shake since the previous brand I used to have changed their formula and raised their price. I decided to give OWYN a chance and I just can’t like it. I do appreciate that it does sit well in my stomach but it’s just hard to swallow. The flavor is accurately described to be a moldy or mothball taste even though it is within expiration date and it also leave a coating on your tongue. Will not be purchasing anymore.

I’m new to protein drinks, so I read a lot of labels before I chose OWYN dark chocolate protein shake. It has a very good, real chocolate taste, and I was pleased that it was non-dairy. My only issue was with the monk fruit. Monk fruit is just straight up gross. I still gave it five stars for effort. It does have real sugar, so I don’t understand why they had to add the monk fruit. Did I say monk fruit is gross?
