Bad taste
This is my first time trying a new brand of non dairy protein shake since the previous brand I used to have changed their formula and raised their price. I decided to give OWYN a chance and I just can’t like it. I do appreciate that it does sit well in my stomach but it’s just hard to swallow. The flavor is accurately described to be a moldy or mothball taste even though it is within expiration date and it also leave a coating on your tongue. Will not be purchasing anymore.

I’m new to protein drinks, so I read a lot of labels before I chose OWYN dark chocolate protein shake. It has a very good, real chocolate taste, and I was pleased that it was non-dairy. My only issue was with the monk fruit. Monk fruit is just straight up gross. I still gave it five stars for effort. It does have real sugar, so I don’t understand why they had to add the monk fruit. Did I say monk fruit is gross?

This used to be my everyday drink. It was good. Now it tastes like literal dirt or the earth its so weird. I feel like I will get ill from drinking it. Dont waster your money until they release a statement about what is going on.

May Trigger Anaphylaxis in Those with Peanut Allergy
This drink put me into immediate anaphylactic shock and I had to use my EPI-pen to save myself. I have a known nut allergy but this drink claims to be free of the top allergens. Surprise surprise, I found out that I am allergic to pea protein while in the ER. This drink so happens to include peas in the formulation. If you have a nut allergy, please avoid this as there is a correlation between peanuts and peas in the legume family. Be safe!

Horrible Chemical Taste
What happened to the original formula? I used to love this but now it tastes horrible, terrible aftertaste. I’m not sure what they changed in the formula but it’s disgusting now, which makes me sad since it used to be so delicious. Will not be purchasing again.

I should’ve read the reviews about the sensitivity of some people to the ingredients… I thought because it was plant-based I wouldn’t have any problem with it, but there’s something in this that almost instantly makes my stomach upset. I see on the packaging everything that it doesn’t have but not a lot about the full ingredients list. It’s probably is some sort of sweetener alternative that I’m sensitive to. Also, the taste is not great even though I have a high tolerance for bad tasting drinks that help me reach a health and fitness goal lol although I will NOT be buying these again…

Guess I'm not cut out to be a vegan.
Bitter and chalky tasting. I ran out of my normal dairy shake and thought I'd try a few other brands to compare. I've never tried a vegan shake before, and this experience makes me never want to try again. Tasted nothing like a "normal" chocolate shake.
