Q: Anyone have an issue opening the battery door? I can’t seem to get it open. Is there a trick to it or something I have to unscrew somewhere that I’m missing?

Okay folks, let me explain the twinkling feature. Each strand contains 30 lights, and every fifth light twinkles for a total of 6 twinkling lights. I personally perfer the occasional twinkle to a full strand of flashing lights. That said, these lights work great for lighting projects, with their petite battery pack (2-AA) and bright glow. I purchased the silver wire option to use for ambient lighting, and I find them almost too bright. Great quality for a fiver.

Only about 4 of the 30 lights actually twinkle. I'm not sure why this doesn't have a preset timer like other battery operated lights, but you have to remember to turn it off, which is a pain. The larger 90 light option does have a timer.

I bought two so putting them side by side they do not match. Only about 5 twinkle on each strand. One strand had a couple of bulbs cool white and the rest warm white. I guess you get what you pay for

I was looking for more slow of a twinkle, they have 6 lights in the entire strand that alternate blinking a little faster than the speed of a car's turn signal. I was looking for a fading twinkle so I'll keep looking.

Love love love these! Such an elegant and festive touch and easy to wrap or place in any area. Longer than I anticipated and super quick and easy to put the two double A batteries in. The only thing that could be better is if it had a timer feature vs just on and off but for $5 these really cannot be beat. I love the twinkle feature and that these do not have to be plugged in.

Beautiful
Perfect for my artificial tree! They are much brighter than I was expecting. They put off a good amount of light for when you don’t want to turn on a lamp or overhead lights. Delicate twinkle that doesn’t bother your eyes.
