A: This appliance should always be used on a hard, level, non-combustible surface such as concrete, rock, or stone. It should not be used on wooden decks, combustible decking of any kind, grass, leaves, asphalt, or blacktop. Please note that the bottom of the fire bowl gets very hot during operation. Q: I have a table with a shelf underneath the main top. Both have holes for the umbrella. The distance between the top and shelf is 8 inches. Can a hose be used to connect the Tablefire and the propane tank?.

A: Cathy, I'm sorry, but I think your shelf will be in the way of the 1 lb. propane tank. The tank attaches directly to the Tablefire coupler - and is held just below the tabletop in a metal bracket. This is not one with a hose attachment. If you look for a Tablefire with a higher BTU number, it will likely use a 20 lb propane tank, which still uses a fixed metal coupler (it extends about 3 inches below the tabletop). Does not stay lit
Worked the first couple times we used it, it was great. But it kept turning off after that. No matter how long we’d hold the pilot in place, it would not stay lit. Cheaply made.

Easy to install, works great. Fast delivery with no damage. I’d never installed anything like this before. You need a Philips screwdriver and a table with umbrella hole. The gas is propane gas in a canister: 16 oz.

Broken Parts - Can't use - Can't Find Replacement Parts
Purchased this in the fall and due to the hurricanes and illness was not able to actually set it up until this weekend. Unfortunately the support ring was difficult to remove and now it will not screw back on. I am trying to find replacement parts, but cannot locate on Target site or in the paperwork where to contact. Don't think Target will let me return due to timeframe since purchased. Very disappointed.

I did not have an umbrella table, however, it was that hard to make a hole in crate. I love the size and cozy feel it brings. Not designed to just sit on a table.
It should be more emphasized that this product is not designed to just “sit” on a table top. It is designed to sit on a table top with a hole in the middle so the propane bottle can sit below the surface of the table. I would’ve loved to have kept this and set it on my outside coffee table, because I have a small deck with a coffee table on it. But I was unable to because the product is not designed that way.

The tabletop fireplace is a beautiful light gray color. Apparently it scratches easily, but a corrective marker is included so I’m not worried. The size is perfect for our rectangular 4 person outdoor table. It was easy to install and took about 25 minutes from start to finish. The fire is substantial enough for four of us to roast marshmallows at the same time. I was planning to switch out the lava rocks for glass stones, but the rocks are gorgeous so I’m not changing a thing.

You can’t use it without a table w a hole (ie to hold an umbrella.) the gas tank goes underneath the table so if you don’t have that it just stands weird.

Worked Great…Twice
After using this fire pit two times it developed a leak where the piece that the propane tank screws onto attaches to the base of the fire pit. A waste of $110 dollars. Very disappointed, I hope the one we have is just defective as I see many good reviews, but this could have been dangerous if the leak would have developed while using the fire pit. Thankfully, we were not, we just heard it leaking outside one day.

Perfect little firepit

Misleading Photo
This firepit would be perfect for my outdoor space, but the photos are very misleading. The pit requires a table with an umbrella hole, which is not detailed in the photo. Granted it is mentioned in the description, it is deep down and easily missed. I got this home and was very disappointed that I could not use.

And that hole is of course covered, when the Tablefire is in place. We hear your concern, and plan our next photoshoot to include a photo showing the Tablefire with its connection starting to be placed through the hole.
