Worthless. Actually, worse than worthless.

Hands down the worst ruler I've ever seen. The ruler works by allowing light to pass through it from behind to illuminate the numbers but the numbers are on the wrong side. What I mean is that if you try to line the ruler up against anything the numbers are on the opposite side of the ruler from the side that faces you. Thus, you either have to lean over the ruler and block the light that makes the numbers legible or the ruler itself blocks your view of the item being measured. Just a painfully stupid design.

As a teacher - please DON'T

Parents - please do not send this ruler to school. It's heavy (gee - what could a student do with heavy pointy stick.....), the ends are sharp and teachers will see this and groan. The measurements are a bit distorted as well depending on how you look at it. Just no!
