As another user has mentioned, the power cable is really short (approx 145cm) and not enough to mount camera the ceiling (as Swann claim in the description). Due to specific power requirements, can’t even use a long third party USB C cable to a USB C power adapter. Until Swann provide power extension leads, or make the power cable longer, this product is only suitable for desktop use…which defeats the purpose of a security camera if it’s just sat on a surface where any intruder can reach it or cover it up 🙃

I have purchased two 2KI indoor cameras for our apartment excellent clear coloured pictures certainly well worth the money I highly recommend this product because they work and do what is advertised. They have also talk fiction which is great for talking to you cat or dog while at work or checking on them been able to talk to them relaxes my pets

The most aggravating part of this camera is the tiny little power cable that comes with it, & they’ve designed these cameras in a way that you can use any other cord with it & they don’t make extension cords for it either. Not worth the inconvenience only useful for sitting on a surface. Don’t buy it if you plan on mounting it.

I have several Swann products all for different purposes - this camera gives a wide clear picture during the day, however if a room is dark and you log in to look you will be unable to see anything which isn’t great, however this may be because there is nothing triggering the heat and motion sensors. Overall a good edition to a full system, or even a stand alone monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Swann indoor camera has crystal clear resolution, great motion detection, remote storage without a subscription (which is also able to be locally downloaded), and works well in night vision mode. We use it to monitor the kids. It comes with a stand that allows it to be moved with ease: just plug in and set on a table. We may eventually hard mount it but it's too convenient to move where needed. Initial set up wasn't difficult either. Recommended!

Within minutes I was streaming video to my phone. Based on movement notifications and the portable design every and any part of my residence can be monitored that I select. A magnetic base really is a super idea and widens the scope of available camera positions. The live video is clear and the device has the ability to record for free (via memory card purchased separately). I like the siren idea and 2 way talk feature. Really nice and well made system, l love it !!

The software that you have to down load to your smart phone is Apple IOS and Android compatible. There is many options you can set up for the camera in the software. The video quality is ok. But you need a you need a micro sd card the record video. It comes with a power supply and a magnetic mounting plate so you can mount on the wall. I recommend this camera and would buy other products from this company.

The only con to this camera is the app that you have to download and link to camera. It was very difficult to set up the camera with the app (took about 45 minutes). After set up, the camera worked great. It does have a like a 2 second lag but it’s great as a security measure. Motion notifications are pretty great.

(Screw mount) The App to monitor and control is rated a very high 4.7 /5 at the Apple App Store! You need to access slower WiFi during set up, so be attentive to that in most installations. I didn’t need any tech support but it looks very good. The range and clarity are very good in day light. Visibility at night is also good with IR function You can use micro SD card to record local on the device. I really like the warning stickers that come with it. I make the camera visible too. I want deterrence not to record some one breaking in. I want to incent bad guys to go to unprotected homes. Besides we travel a lot and calling police remotely at 3am is not something I want to do.

It comes with all that you need to mount it from the screws to the bracket and all the charging cables that it needs to charge. Its a nice small size but don't let that full you it has a large view of the room despite it size. You can even talk and listen if you have an intruder which I think is pretty cool. Its a great little system that runs on wi-fi.
