A: I'm not real good at assembling things; but I found it easy to put together.

A: You will need a hammer and Philips screwdriver to assemble this. It's not difficult. I'd also recommend some wood glue for the wood dowels.

A: Yes, definitely. I assembled it and put it in my 2 year old’s bedroom. It is sturdy (currently holding all 140 of his books). I bought the bookcase in part for the anti-tip hardware, but ended up not using it. The option is certainly nice, but you do not have to use it.
