So I read reviews prior to purchasing this mirror that made it seem like this would be difficult to hang, so I was a bit nervous. For context, this is probably one of the first things I've ever hung on my walls by myself with a level, and it probably took me at most 15 minutes to get up.
The template is super helpful (or it was for me, contrary to other reviewers). The hooks on the back of the mirror fall ~1 foot below the top of the mirror, so when you place the template, make sure the line is 1 foot down from where you want the top of the mirror to be. I folded the template in half so that the two circles marking the screw placements were perfectly aligned to find the center point (it's also 14", I believe, from either end of the black line -- note that the line is NOT centered on the bigger piece of the paper), then found the midline of the dresser I wanted to center the mirror over. I taped the template to the wall, making sure that the center points of the template/my dresser were in line, the line was a foot down from where I wanted the top of the mirror to be, and that the template line was level.
I tried to use the wall anchors, but couldn't really figure them out. I did use them to start the holes by hammering the anchors through the template into the wall a little bit, but then just screwed the screws directly into the wall sans anchors. I'm not totally sure whether this was a mistake, but it seems like the screws by themselves are going to be just fine holding up the mirror, which is fairly lightweight up. Plus, the screws make smaller holes in the drywall than the anchors would.
Anyway, I love the way it looks, so I'm super happy and can't recommend enough. And don't be deterred by the idea of the template not being easy to use or the mirror being difficult to hang, b/c I'm a home-improvement idiot and I knocked out hanging this up super quickly.
