A: Hi - sure, you can use an LED bulb with this lamp. It uses one maximum 150 watt standard-medium base Type-A light bulb (not included), so you can use any LED bulb that draws up to 150 watts.

A: Hi - the shade does not require any construction and ships as show, if that's what you mean. It does have a seam on the back, like almost all shades, where the shade material meets. Thank you for the question.
