Q: Hi. Two questions. 1.) Most home walls have a light texturing to them. Can you use these strips on average light textured wall? 2.) Additionally does it matter if the painted wall is flat, satin, or semi-gloss finish?

  • A: Hello - Thank you for asking. Heavily textured surfaces may not allow the adhesives to fully bond. Slight textures should not be a problem. Command can be used on all types of paint.

Q: Can you hang more than one picture with this item or do you use all 4 pair on one item?

  • A: Hello - Thank you for asking. This would depend on the weight of the frames you are trying to hang. Our packaging instructions will show that frames that are 6 lbs or less require at least 2 pairs of the adhesives. Frames that are more than 6 lbs up to the maximum 12 lbs in weight will need 4 pairs of adhesives.     Dependable product

    Reliable product

The strips do stick better to smooth surfaces. The walls in my house are textured, so I have to be sure to use the correct size for the weight of whatever I am hanging.

    Easy to use

    Picture Strips Maintain Sanity

    Great Value and Work Great !

They were easy to figure out how to apply to the object to be hung up and the application was extremely easy. These were well packed and came undamaged and ready to use. The attachment seems to be very study and secure and should last without any issues as far as I can tell.

    Good product

    Other uses besides picture holding

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used these strips to fassen a power strip to my daughters' cinderblock college dorm wall. The power strip was around 12" long and was able to keep it in place. Perfect for the job. We used one on each end.

    Great hold

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really don’t like to poke holes in the walls of my home so these photo strips are really great. I have a lot of things other than photos that need to get off the floor or on a shelf and so far it’s working out really well. The strips are pretty strong and once you put the two strips together it stays in-place. I just have to work on my sticking skills because I put it on a little slanted the first time. I think the best way is to stick them together, then put it on the wall take off that last sticky backing, and then place your item on it.

    Perfect size for hanging pictures!

Our daughter moved into her apartment, and they said we could only use Command Strips, and no nails or we would be billed for drywall repair. We hung 6 18x18 magnetic boards for her school work, and applying two of the Command Strips not only held the boards securely, but made the boards snug against the wall. I did get these as part of a promotion thru 3M.

    Little strips pack a mighty design punch

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish these picture hanging strips were available sooner. I would not have had to spackle and touch up so many walls when wanting to redecorate. I was thrilled to test these strips for 3M and received a free package to use. I have had other experiences with the Command products similar in design, but these little strips exceeded my expectations. My package would hold a picture weighing up to 10 pounds without needing to use any nails or hooks and came with 12 pairs of strips. Small pictures only need a pair of strips on either side, but larger pictures need four pairs total, two on each side. I ended up visiting the Command video to make sure I understood the process, and honestly, the installation was quick and easy. The picture I chose to test weighed a little over six pounds and was 14.5 x 17 inches in size with glass in an aluminum metal frame. I will say that you do need to plan ahead as one part of the process requires you to let the strips adhere to the wall for an hour before continuing. It took me just a few seconds to separate the strips into pairs and snap them together, but the video clearly demonstrates this process. Once I had the strips in place, the total set up time was just a few minutes. I do recommend you use a level to make sure your picture is straight before adhering the strips to the wall. The strips adhered well, and my picture hangs nice and flat against the wall. I haven’t tried to remove the strips, but the instructions to do so are are clear. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to beautify their space, but preserve the integrity of their walls.
