Q: Can I put my shoes in them, and wash them in the washer?

  • A: As a sneaker collector, buyer of nice sneakers to wear, and work history of selling sneakers for 10 years at Hibbets; I would never recommend putting your sneakers in the washing machine. The main part of the sneaker before it is glued to the midsole and sole, is made of cardboard…it is called the “Stay”. By completely submerging your sneakers in water and soaking the entire shoe, you run the risk of permanently ruining your sneakers. Most sneaker cleaning kits are meant to use a minimal amount of water and used to clean the outside and insole only! No matter what you see online, I do not recommend putting any type of shoe in a washing machine under any reason.

    Cheap. Look for something else

    Why the high rating? These have ripped so easily. I only put items such as dresses in them and always on gentle cycle and they’re all starting to rip within 5 uses.

    Amazing and worth it!

    These work incredible for the use. The people saying that they don’t hold up or don’t work well definitely do not know how to do laundry. Set the garments you want in the bags and run a gentle/delicate cycle- no issues! What a deal at $4 too!

    Low Quality & Rip Easily

    These laundry bags are very low quality and rip after just one or two washes. The zipper is cheap and gets stuck on the mesh. And the seams are weak and rip. You’d be better off buying different laundry bags that will last longer, because these will go into the trash after just a handful of washes.
