A: It can be used either vertically or horizontally. I have one of these and a few others with other configurations. They can all be rotated to your preference. The storage cubes can be rotated as well.

Good storage, messy assembly
The good: easy to assemble, the holes lined up, sturdy The bad: The box arrived dented and the outside of the long board is damaged. I am keeping it because it goes in the closet. The stickers labeling parts are on the visible outside parts. The pre-glued dowels do not appear to have any adhesive, yet they are messy turning your hands and the cubes green. My advice is get your own dowels and use wood glue. The compatible cloth bins fit perfectly. It is in my closet for the storage of hats, mittens, scarves and pet supplies.

Honestly really study compared to its room essentials counterpart. Unfortunately pieces of shelves were broken, there’s lots of cosmetic scratches but too much of a burden to carry back into store for exchange especially since they are always done out in this color and my local targets don’t carry them. Damaged deliveries
The one star is not about the product itself, but how this product was delivered 2 times, both times In a very damaged box. First shipment the product was wet and damaged so we refused delivery, second time box open in one side and very damaged. So far product looks undamaged, but very frustrated with the delivery process.

Disappointing
This is a heavy, tall piece of furniture. I ordered two. They both arrived in the wrong color. I had to roll them both separately in the summer heat with my neck crooked due to the height of the piece, from my apartment to the store to make a return. It was a big hassle. If I could give zero stars or less I would. I wish someone from customer service would contact me to apologize or make it right. I chose this item because it matched the color of other pieces that I bought from Target. It’s a disappointment.

Seems to be fine. Went together well enough. Recommend a rubber mallet for driving the shelves together once the dowels are in. The top holes were drilled too shallow so the screwhead stuck up a bit. The other end they were countersunk properly. I would say that when on sale, worth the price. More convenient than the furniture store that sells meatballs.

So disappointed
I just purchased 2 of these today for my daughter’s dorm, and got them home. Haven’t fully opened them, but scared to. First box has a big hole through the box and into the wood. Second box is soaked. Opened it a little and it smells.
