Without a doubt the worst item I have ever spent money on. No where on the box does it say you have to drill it onto the door for it to lay flat. The holes to put it together don’t line up properly and the screws round off when you try to tighten them. It’s wobbly and uneven. I can’t believe I spent FORTY dollars on this trash. Returning immediately.

Absolute garbage. I typically have GREAT luck with all Target-branded organizational items but this was the most flimsy thing I’ve purchased in this category of items from Target. Definitely disappointed

I put this inside my coat closet, where I also keep my dry dog food and I decided to add the wet food and extra food onto the shelves. Everything is so organized now I love it and now I have more room in my kitchen cabinets

We attached the top and bottom to the door instead of using the hooks over the door. I chose this product because I have handbags that I don't use because I don't see them. I have a big stash. It holds 5-6 bags. I can rotate bags out of my closet. I selected different-sized bags that I need during the season - one is a tote, specifically a foldable green fabric tote from Target, that folds and fits on the top shelf. You can measure the bottom of your handbag to see if they'll fit and consider the handles for top height. My door is long enough, I could attach another below.

Great for additional storage but make sure you secure bottom or it will come apart easily

i really love the organization that this has allowed. it was easy to put together and it’s very sturdy. only complaint is that the piece that goes over the door is too thick and has damaged our door frame when trying to close the door :\

Needed extra space for our small pantry. Fits the door perfectly. This is exactly what I was looking for!

You have to screw it to the door, it doesn’t just hang.

For all the people saying it’s not over the door: there is indeed an over the door option. They give you the option of over the door or anchored. I like it; however, I’m going to have to fasten the bottom of the bars to the door because it swings when I open the door.

I was really looking forward to this shelf, but when I started assembling it, I encountered a major problem. It was nearly impossible to screw the metal pieces together without stripping the small screws. It was incredibly frustrating! Even after carefully aligning the bars to ensure a flush fit, I found it nearly impossible to screw the small screws and connect the bars. While some have suggested that you're required to screw this to the door, I believe this step is optional for those seeking a more stable, stationary shelf. My main issue was with fastening the bars together with the smaller screws, as shown in the attached photos. Although I like the idea behind this product, I'm starting to think I may have received a faulty one. For now, I cannot recommend it and will be returning it.

Not over the door hanging!!! You have to screw it all to the door with 10 screws. Its going back! Target needs better people to describe this website.

Not very stable. Even after making sure I used all the screws the shelves kept falling “out”. Returning.

Since my son's first apartment is lacking on storage space, this was the perfect solution for him to store food/toiletries etc. Very easy to put together and secure to the back of his closet door. Well made and a great product.

These shelves are advertized as "over the door," but, they require screwing into the door with anchor bolts. The description says at least four times that it's an "over the door" rack, but there is not a single mention of the need to put several holes in your door. Few people would want to put holes in their door!!! So, why is the info on that not disclosed?? While at the same time, the "over the door" aspect is mentioned a full FOUR times? So, I am donating this review to help others. We should not have to be our own warning system for free, but I don't want anyone else to be a victim of false advertising, so I'm donating my time. I already donated time to report on the false information, too. Once on the page for these shelves, and another in customer service. Dunno if my being ripped off of money and new time I wil have to put into this to find a different, functional over the door rack, plus the time needed to accurately review this item, plus report on it on the page, plus report on it to customer service .... will actually get them to move on fixing it all, but we will see. I know that Target loves to keep putting out deceptive advertizing, as for these OTD shelves, but at the same time, Target hates accurate reviews of such items, so we will see, too, if Target steals this comment, which is meant for the customers, as I already contacted Target about this and they already got the communication meant for them. Will they steal my money, my time and effort, and this comment which belongs to the public, now, too? Will they fix their own problems, which they get paid to do, while people like me are not paid a dime for being forced into their messes? Target is mainly good, but eventually they will stab you.
