  • A: I put extra totes on top, especially when I have them in storage,my garage,or even my closets!> My cats also love to sleep on the lids,but I recommend them for a lot of reasons!> Once they had them for $7.00 each,I was moving,it made my moving so easy and very sturdy,a lot of space inside and I bought 12 totes with wheels and handle and put all of my 2 bedroom, kitchen,closets, bathroom and included the storage!> I literally moved out and the moving was easy !> I recommend them while there at this price!> I still have them,bought some more,bigger home but worth it!

  • A: Hi BobbyT! The 45 Gal. Latching Storage Tote is made of polypropylene plastic. This is a completely non-porous material and most glues, epoxies, adhesives, or paints will not adhere to it or repair it for any length of time. We have not tested new glue or paint products advertised to work on polypropylene ourselves, and are not certain if/how successful they are. You may want to try one of these products available at most hardware, craft, or department stores.

Sterilite only uses high quality FDA food safe grade plastics that are non-toxic. These plastics do not contain PVC's, Latex, Teflon, Phthalates chemicals, fungicides, Bishphenol A (BPA), or antibacterial chemicals. Nor do we use them in the manufacturing process of our items.
