    Great Sturdy Storage Container!

    This 12 Gal Latch Tote is absolutely perfect. I needed a great storage container for all my Electrical extension cords and other electrical item. Everything fit perfect in this container, I can get rid of the cardboard box! It fit so great on my garage shelves. Easy to pull out when I need an extension cord for work around the house. Sterilite Containers are always my go to for storage. They are best sturdy containers. I received this product as part of a My-Take research study.

    Plastic smell

    I wiped it down with disinfectant wipes, let it air out, but after a couple months, it still wreaks of plastic when I open the lid. I stored clean towels in it and it made all the towels smell like plastic. I’m trying to air it out in the sun for a week or so which is supposed to help with plastic smells. But it is nice and sturdy.

    Hi Shilpa! Our Storage products are made of Polypropylene plastic. Polypropylene sometimes has a plastic smell (especially the clear products) when first purchased that dissipates fairly rapidly once the product is unpacked and put to use. Washing with a lemon scented or grease fighting detergent and rinsing thoroughly helps dispel any noticeable odor. Detergents sometimes adhere to plastics and you will want to wipe and rinse well. Air or towel dry.

    Very thin and cheap plastic.

    These totes are made of extremely thin plastic and they are already getiing white patches from bending seams on the sides and I haven't even used them yet. Poor quality, but if you just need a cheap bin to hold very light, soft items it might be ok. If you are expecting nice heavy duty bins that you can use for a long time, these are it.

    Perfect for my birdseed!

    I feed backyard birds and keep my individual seeds/nuts in big ziplock freezer bags. This is the perfect bin to keep all of bags in! And I like the dark gray color and the way it snaps shut.
