Q: Can you add a lock to it?

submitted by Ashton - 2 years ago

  • A: Hi Ashton, currently there is not a way to add a lock to this tote. The latches do lock in place but a physical lock can not be attached. Thank you.

submitted byHMS Customer Service - 2 years ago

  • A: You cannot add a lock to this item.

submitted byHMS Customer Service - 2 years ago

  • A: Yes you CAN add a lock on multiple slots on each side of the lids. It would take two locks to secure the lid to the top, one on each side.

  • A: Hi Ashton - There is not an option to add a lock to this item.

Q: Is this animal proof? Can squirrels or birds get in if I store nuts or seeds?

submitted by Anne - 11 days ago

  • A: Hello, thank you for your inquiry. These totes are not intended for food storage, they are not air sealed and animals would be able to smell the contents and try to chew through the containers. I hope this helps!

Awesome Tote!

They are the perfect size to fit lots of items and still be able to easily move them around. The locking lid fits perfectly and you can even go above the rim. They stack well and are very sturdy. I am using these for power tools and items that no longer have their original boxes and it's helped me to clean and organize.

Great tote!

Love this tote! This is the 2nd one I bought because I liked the first one so much. I find this to be a great size. They hold a lot but aren’t so cumbersome to move or carry. It holds together great, no bending of sides or top popping off in spots like some others do.

Hi-Rise lid is useless!

Perfect durable tote. Comfortable handles, low profile, easy to stack, holes for strapping down, and very spacious. However the so called "HI-Rise lid" is useless, due to the recessed grid (see pic) underneath the lid. It does not store extra stuff as it claims.

Storage for kids heavy artwork

Best storage container! Sturdy and tough. The lid is secure and doesn’t wiggle. Best line of containers I’ve ever used, I hope they continue making these. I can use a padlock on them for extra security. They stack well with stability and no sinking lids with weight.

Friend loves them

I just ordered and picked up 10 of these as a favor for a friend who is intimidated by online ordering. She already had several of these and wanted more. Apparently she thinks they’re great. Apparently they’re a target exclusive item since we couldn’t find them elsewhere. Our local stores were out but I happened to be going to a larger town where these were available, so did a curbside pickup there.
