A: Hi moonbeam! The 17 Gal. HD Garage Tote is made of Polypropylene plastic, and is designed for general household use. Polypropylene sometimes has a plastic smell (especially the clear products) when first purchased that dissipates fairly rapidly once the product is unpacked and put to use. Washing with a lemon scented or grease fighting detergent and rinsing thoroughly helps dispel any noticeable odor. Detergents sometimes adhere to plastics and you will want to wipe and rinse well. Air or towel dry.

The tote is the perfect size to hold blankets, camping gear, seasonal clothing, crafts, decorations etc. The tote is sturdy but light weight and has a secure lid. I like that it can be stacked with additional totes with little worry of tipping over.

I like the color, it's strong and accommodate my equipments well. I store my hammers , and other heavy equipments and they dont prick the container. The lids close tightly and I also like they have spot for a lock. Its stackable making it a good space saver. I received this tote as part of my take research.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very heavy duty tote and it is large. I have a massive stuffed teddy bear that takes up a lot of room and I was pleased to see that not only does it fit, there is room for other items to go in as well. I was surprised to find that this lid has holes so that you can padlock the lid in case you need extra security. The tote is rated to hold fifty pounds and says you can double stack them. It is thick and sturdy enough that I feel comfortable putting it in my outside shed. I think it’s great quality! I received an incentive to write this review.

I love how heavy and durable this container is for the garage because it will be moved around and stacked on daily. The lid snaps together for extra protection and goes around the side so no water can get inside. We love these containers and will be buying more to stack on top of each other in the garage. It helps you organize your garage storage shelves. The plastic is high-quality and seems very sturdy when fully stacked. I was the box with see-through so I could see what I had stored in it, but I just added a sheet of paper on top of each bin to identify the items inside. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a perfect storage tote by brightroom. It’s heavy duty and stackable. There is space to use zip ties to lock all of the stored items. The plastic itself is not heavy at all so you can easily add up to 50 pounds to the tote. I wish it had different color top so you could organize items better great for storing bedding and other miscellaneous house items. This really helped me get organized at home. I received an incentive to write this review.

It has versatile uses and can fit a good bit of items. I would say it’s definitely worth what I paid. The colors are neutral enough and match my other totes.
