I really like this blanket. It moves with my movement better than the other weighted blanket I had. It cannot be washed

This is not a weighted blanket…there’s no weight to this thing. A standard comforter has more weight to it. Very disappointed especially at this price point. I’m giving it two stars because I like the look and color of it.

Came with a bit of a smell and seems like it has an oily residue. I’m still waiting for it to air out before I add it to my blanket stash. The overall quality is good, I like the way it looks. The weight is great on the lap and over the shoulders, but you don’t get that hugging-feeling weight when you lay down with it. On the bright side, it isn’t too heavy or suffocating. I love how breathable it is. My biggest complaint: it’s not machine or hand washable.

I loved this blanket at first, but after using it for a few weeks, it has started to pill. I am really disappointed in the quality for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tranquility Chunky Knit Weighted Blanket... The material is soft, smooth, it feels very comfortable against the skin. Still not sure 'weighted' is what I prefer, instead of feeling 'hugged' it makes me feel trapped, unable to move. Plus I should have researched cleaning: 100% polyester, yet only spot clean, cannot place in washing machine/dryer. As I have a house full of various pets, not practical to leave out.

However this is stuffed nylon Jersey knit tubing which is then knitted to make a blanket, there was a somewhat chemical smell to it when it was opened. It is weighted and warm when being used, but not as “cozy” as I expected.

I have a daughter that has autism and she loves the weight of the blanket when she's anxious. The only down side of blanket is when you first open it, it has a weird smell to it. You just need to wash it and then it's fine.

This is the best heavy blanket I even had even my mom and siblings loved it it so amazing. I would be buying some more in the future because it was that good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had heard about the weighted blankets, and was so curious to try this Traquilty Chunky Knit Weighted blanket! My husband and I have it on our bed, in place of our comforter. It’s on top of the sheet and lightweight blanket. I don’t normally like too many blankets, because I tend to get too warm during the night. But this weighted blanket feels like I’m enveloped, as though I’m swaddled like a baby. I remember when my babies were babies, and I learned how to wrap them all snug, before I went home from the hospital. I think as we get older, we forget that we still need this feeling and sense of comfort! I love also the intertwined knitting and weaving, which has added to the ability of the blanket to be “weighted”!

The blanket is weighted and feels like someone is holding you which is so soothing the first night I used it I fell asleep so quickly and slept through the night I would recommend this blanket for anyone needing that extra comfort it's great for anxiety also it was big enough to cover my queen sized bed so me and my husband can both use it.

I learned that I’m not a fan of heavyweight blankets but that doesn’t mean the quality of the blanket was bad. I throughly enjoyed quality of this blanket. No weird odors when you use it for the first time. I don’t think I’m a big fan of the knitted look of the blanket but it makes sense. The big gaps between the knit will help it be breathable while also being flexible. Overall, this blanket did it’s job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with this Chunky Knit Weighted Blanket by Tranquility for a lot of reasons, but one thing shines brighter than the rest, the fact that the “weight” is evenly disbursed throughout the blanket. Let me explain: I’ve owned other weighted blankets, they are very popular at my house, but they have a flaw. The weight is inside a bag, so, like a duvet cover, sometimes the weighted part doesn’t quite follow the outer cover, so sometimes you find yourself beneath only a very thin sheet, and the weight is hiding somewhere at the bottom. Not so with this Chunky Knit Blanket as the weight is in the blanket itself, so if the blanket is on you, the weight is there as well. This is essential and huge, and the Tranquility blanket is easily the most desired amongst the family. I’m not really sure how or what gives the blanket it’s weight, but I love it! And not only is the blanket weighted, it looks fantastic too. The fibers are soft and smooth, and it feels very comfortable against the skin. There is no fraying, and the color is consistent throughout the blanket. It feels very well made, and I expect it to last for a very long time. If you’ve never had a weighted blanket, I strongly encourage you to start, and start here, with the Tranquility brand. There is something so comforting about the extra weight. One of my children was struggling to sleep because of anxiety after a move, and a counselor encouraged us to get one to help sooth him. He absolutely loved it, and insists on it. Then we all fell I love with them. And Tranquility’s have been our favorite. When I asked my daughter what she loves most about it (she sleeps with it most often), she told me she loves to run her fingers in and out of the woven strands while she nods off. I obviously recommend the Chunky Knit Weighted Blanket, and am excited for what Tranquility produces next!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This beautiful blanket is knitted in a traditional knit purl pattern with polyester fiber filled strands. The glass beads are spread throughout each strand so that they stay evenly balanced across the blanket. Because it is knitted it creates air holes that aren't found in solid blankets. This creates a coolness while it is creating a calmness as it molds around my body. I feel like I am being hugged by all 12 pounds of this blanket. It eases my stress during the day and is a comfortable sleep aid at night. The only difficulty with this blanket is that it can only be spot cleaned and laid flat to dry. Life can be messy with kids and pets. Washable covers can be purchased but that would not allow for the airflow that makes this blanket different and special. It has become an important tool for me to create a peaceful time and destress at the end of the day.

I really love this blanket there no beads that shift or move the weight it is perfectly evenly distributed. It is beautifully knitted. Very thick and comfortable. It is warm but doesn't over heat you. It is extremely cozy. I have had the perfect night sleep.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When they said "chunky knit", they weren't kidding. It's a knitted blanket using yarn as thick as my thumb. The weight seems to come purely from the sheer amount of material in the yarn - I couldn't feel any beads or anything contained within it to give it additional weight - it's soft, and looks good, too. My wife has been wanting to get one for a while after reading about the apparent de-stressing properties of sleeping under a weighted blanket. I could definitely feel the extra weight of this on the bed and slept well. It was plenty warm enough with this on top of a duvet, but the loose knit should provide adequate ventilation/cooling with fewer covers in the summer months.
