Q: Has anyone had a problem with the on/off switch? The light goes on when plugged in and I cannot turn it off.

submitted byDouglas - 5 years agoTarget staff supportA: I had to make an account to answer this because the "help" you received from target employees made me incredibly mad. i had the same problem too. all you have to do is screw in the bulb and position the bulb to where it's not fully touching the metal that connects it to the switch. the problem is that when you first screw in the bulb, it sits too flush against the switch. im sorry about the unhelpful comment you got before. hope this helps!

A: Yes but the bulb is tiny and doesn't get the job done to heat the wax thoroughly to allow the hot scent throw. So it just becomes a pretty nightlight and that's about it.

prefer over candles or B&B Wallflowers
One wax square makes your apartment smelling amazing. keep it plugged in, and just turn the switch off when you are done. You may have to twist the plug-in piece to the upright position upon taking it out of the package, but you can do this with your hand-easy. just plug into socket, and place scented wax then turn on. gives a nice glow through design cutouts.

Great warmer but read this first!!
Bought two of these since they were so cute and they work great. Before you purchase, read this first: 1. The plug rotates (no unscrewing needed) depending on how your outlet is situated. 2. Trim the white plastic ground prong so it's flush with the metal prongs (learned this the hard way as our also got stuck in the outlet but we were able to finally recover it) and 3. Make sure it's not next to an a/c vent. This will cause it not to heat up enough. Hopefully this answers some of the problems that others experienced. Overall I still really like them!

I see a lot of people saying their wax warmer doesn’t melt the wax at all but mine works fine. I thought i got a defective one because the plug was upside down but all you have to do is unscrew it and flip it around. It works perfectly fin for me and i can smell the scent in my room too.

The wax warmer is beautiful and perfect!! I use it in my bathrooms connected to a smart plug to time when it turns on and off. There is NOTHING wrong with the plug, people need to read the label!!! The plug is NOT UPSIDE DOWN, it is ROTATEABLE. To rotate the plug to work in your outlet, you pull gently away from body of warmer and spin it the right way. It can face up, down, right, and left. It's an amazing wax warmer, do not mind the people who can't read instructions leaving poor reviews 🙄

It took me 3 times to purchase one that worked - I bought 2 in-store and they both failed to light up (I switched out the bulbs with another comparable plug-in that I have already). Finally, I ordered it online & that one worked! It is small, and does not cover a large area with scent, but works for the price. I originally purchased this for our guest/hallway bathroom, but the plug on this one that works is oriented upside down (with the 3rd prong on top instead of below), so it has to go in an outlet that is oriented upside-down.

pretty night light, bad melter
it’s so pretty but it barely melts the wax and the aroma doesn’t spread beyond me putting my face 5 inches from the melter. i’ve had it on for about 5 hours now and you can see how much of the wax still has not melted. i was very disappointed in this. i know it’s not the wax because i bought a bigger version of this melter and my entire room smells great. i will be returning it sadly.
