A: Yes, the lights will turn on when there are no strong lights hitting the solar panel. Usually, when the sun goes down they will turn on, although if there is a very bright artificial light nearby and shining on it, it may cause the lights to stay off in some cases. Don't bother
Thought this was a great idea, love using solar lights because I don't need to remember to turn them on or off 😆 Followed the instructions included in the box, they worked great for two days then just stopped. Very disappointing

Cute lights, don't stay lit long
I was really excited for these lights as I don't have an electricity outlet on the outside of my home. I put the sensor where it can get lots of sun and the lights are so cute when lit, but they only stay lit for awhile when they come on - maybe an hour or two. As it gets dark at early in the winter here, they aren't on long enough to really enjoy after I get home. I'll try them in the summer on the patio. Easy to set up, cute, my only complaint is the length they stay on.

There is no outside outlet so these work well for that, but they are so dim. It’s very disappointing. They aren’t bright at all, even after the solar panels got a full day in direct sunlight. I attached a picture and it was only 6:30p when we took it, so they hadn’t even been on long yet. Very disappointing. I got them at 50% off and still don’t know if they’re worth that price…

Garbage
Stopped working within 3month period, couldn’t find receipt to return. Purchased both white and colored lights. Replaced batteries, still would not work. Garbage, do not waste your money.

Wonderful solar powered christmas lights
Perfect for my needs. They charge even though I only get morning sun, and they stay lit all night. I thought they didn’t work at first, but then I looked at the box and realized… there’s an on/off switch! Not worth the energy savings.
I had hope for this item, but it genuinely disappointed me. To start, there is no battery (or any kind of) backup so that you can use the item when it does not have enough stored solar energy. I charged it for an hour or so and was able to get it to light up for a minute or two. The issue was, when I turned it off and didn't turn it on again until the following day (was testing before putting up around my front door) and it was dead again. It also has to be manually turned on which is pointless when the rest of my lights are on a timer. Great concept, but backup power options and the ability to set it or plug it into a timer would be helpful. Final thought: this item fell off a coffee table and one of the lights shattered. It is clearly a plastic bulb, so I'm concerned about it being so fragile, especially when I have a 7 month old puppy and kitten.

I’ve had solar powered lights that worked fine regardless of the weather… a light layer of clouds and these won’t light up. Bummer.

They worked really well after a full day of charging for about 2 days, but now they shut off within 1-2 hrs even after being in the sun all day. I will probably be returning them.

Works great! These are perfect if you don't have a outdoors electrical outlet. I needed these for a wreath that I have on a outdoor fence. I do not have a outlet nearby so with these being solar I don't have to worry about that. The lights are warm white with green cord so it blends in easily with any type of greenery you use. Overall, I think that these are great solar string lights and work perfectly!

Solar powered LED lights
These 50 count LED solar-powered lights are perfect for the patio or porch. The solar panel comes with a stake; on the back is the power button. I got 6- 7 hours of light from one charge. The string is ~16' long, and the battery charges even on cloudy days. Comes with 2 spare bulbs; string still lights if a bulb is burned out.

No outlet needed, so set up anywhere
Worked right out of the box but should charge fully first and read instructions in the box about best positioning for the solar panel. Haven’t tried the automatic timer yet (turns on at dusk for six hours. Use outdoors or indoors.
