Quite long lasting performed flawlessly for almost two decades

Quiet with slight fan noise as with any fan we have had. Not obstructive as it’s sleek profile does not interfere with other decor. The light is helpfully bright when needed. We are thankful the fan can be reversed without needing to climb up to the fan and use a switch as it can be reversed remotely. We really appreciate the remote control.

I was concerned because this fan was to be installed in a room with a 24’ ceiling. Once the scaffolding was removed it had to be right. Well, it was. Our contractor installed it and it worked perfectly from the start. Remote works flawlessly. Very happy with this purchase.

Don’t care for the lock in blades. Had to do alot of work to balance the fan after installation.

We had 5 of these working in our home for 17 years but 2 stopped working correctly. Bought 1 new one and it was defective and replaced it with another, same issue. Both had very noticeable motor hum compared to the previous ones or any other premium fan. Double checked switch matchups, installation, etc. Too bad, we had liked these for design and operation. Had to swtich to different fans.

Well-made fan that is relatively easy to install. I like the styling. There was a small scratch on the metal underside but this was not a problem as I elected to use the provided light-kit. I have purchased many different fans from many different manufactures and have found the wall interface is about as important as the fan. I find the interface controls a bit odd but I have grown use to Minka's interface. I wish they would re-engineer to make them simpler. Overall I am happy with the fan and would not hesitate to order another.

Great design but we have two and one of them stopped working with the remote and is stuck on one setting and the light no longer works 2 days after installing. I wouldn’t recommend buying this product.

This fan is great with one caveat. I guess it's some default in the remote but it will occasionally change speeds while nobody is touching it. The first time it happened the slight click sound woke me from sleep. It freaked me out. I'd say it happens about once every few weeks but it is eery when it happens. Otherwise we are very pleased with the fan, it's look and how it runs.

Well made, high quality, high functioning fan. Quiet on low and medium speeds. A little noisy on high (hence 4 stars). Really classed up the master and guest bedrooms. Remote works exactly as described. Love this fan!!!

Bought and paid to have fan installed. Shortly after light would flicker on and off. Went through the hassle of complaining and ordering another one, paid to have it installed, did the same thing. Final resolution - Switch 100 W bulb out and replace with 75 W bulb. Sensors in the light cause the bulb to turn off when unit gets to hot. Stupid design!! I paid an installer twice for no reason

Works well both in our kids' room and the master bedroom. Very silent and unobtrusive.

Like other Minka fans we have purchased, this works well and quietly. However, the gray plastic fan blades look cheap and really wish I had remembered that one reviewer had mentioned the plastic look. Had I realized this, I would never have purchased it. If you are interested in this fan, be sure to keep in mind that the fan body (which is quite attractive) and the blades do not match. You might want to keep looking if you want a sharp, contemporary fan.

I purchased two MinkaAire Concept I 52 inch fans in brushed nickel for our family room and master bedroom. We are pleased with the look of the fans and overall quality. The blades may be plastic but they are well balanced, easy to install, and look quite good. We had the house pre-wired for ceiling fans so the builder supplied two circuits and wall switches. These fans really only require a single circuit. The remote control receiver splits out the current to control the light and fan separately. The remote control includes a holder that mounts nicely on the wall too. Our family room has a 14 foot ceiling so I purchased 48" rod for that application, the 6" rod that came with the fan was fine for our bedroom which has a 9 foot ceiling. Assembly was easy as was reprogramming one remote and fan so each remote only controlled one fan. The instructions for this procedure were a little cryptic. One design feature that made assembly a little more difficult than it had to be was the requirement that a screw be removed from the ceiling mount to secure the cover. Why not put two keyhole slots in the cover instead of just one? That way one would only need to loosen two screws, align the cover, twist, and then tighten the two screws. These fans move quite a bit of air but are very quiet. Don't expect them to be the primary source of light for a room big enough to need a 52 inch fan but they are bright enough to keep you from fumbling around in the dark. Overall we are very satisfied.

I replaced an old fan with no light. I had never installed a fan, so I took my time. I did it all by myself-I'm a petite woman, who works in healthcare, so that should tell you how easy it is to install. It is super quiet. Only hear the wind it generates. Love that the light dims, I didn't know about that feature when I bought it. I did buy a 150w bulb because the bulb that came with it just wasn't bright enough.

We love this fan. We bought two of them six years ago for a remodel, a hugger and one with two extensions. We use them often (family room and kitchen) as we do not have central air in a two story home and have had no problems at all. We bought a third one recently to replace a 24year old fan in the master bedroom. They are extremely quiet, no wobble, and look great. My husband does the install. We like the transitional style, not too modern or traditional. I really like the clean, sleek style. The light is also handy and convenient.

The fan looks great, however I can hear the hum of the motor on any speed, and there is too much wobble back and forth. I have tried adjusting the blades, and balancing it using the balancing kit provided, but it doesn't seem to help. I have another fan exactly like this one I haven't installed yet, but I'm debating on whether I should or not. Unfortunately, it is past the return date, and not sure warranty would cover this flaw. My cheap ugly fan I replaced made zero noise and had no wobble. I wish I had gotten the Concept II because that one is fixed to the ceiling and I assume it would wobble less. I am very disappointed because I spent good money on TWO of these fans, and now I'm stuck with them.

MinkaAire's customer service & tech support staff are SUPERB! To my eye, the fan -- in "oil rubbed bronze" -- is gorgeous. PROBLEMS: (1) The internal receiver that communicates with the remote control was defective. Minka promptly replaced it. (2) The glass cover broke while my skillful installer was trying to carefully install it. A rubber gasket around rim would have prevented this problem, which Minka told me has happened to other customers. Luckily my installer did not cut his fingers. Minka promptly replaced the glass cover at no charge to me. (3) The light bulb is so dim that it can't function as a useful light source. And why is the bulb a hot-burning halogen, when halogens are headed for extinction? I salute Minka Aire on great service. I urge Minka to rethink this fan's problem features and more closely monitor quality control operations.

but looks great in white to blend into a white ceiling. No fluorescent for me. Halogen puts out a nice amount of light and is dimmable. With a remote included iIm happy with my purchase.
