Q: What are the machine washing instructions?

  • A: these are 100% cotton. cotton unevenly shrinks when wet and hot. i always just hand wash in the sink with cold water and dishwashing liquid. wring them out and hang them over the shower rod.

    Tea towels are my go-to kitchen utensils. I use them for everything: pot holder, trivet, wiping down the counter, keeping my hands clean while I cook, keeping the press pot warm while my coffee is steeping, drying dishes… my only gripe with tea towels has ever been that they get dirty so quickly.     White and gray are different

    I LOVE the white version of these. Yes, they are thin, but they’re very absorbent. I use them for everything in my kitchen and also when I make sourdough. I bought the gray so it wouldn’t show stains as easily, but they aren’t the same as the white ones. They are not as absorbent and the fabric feels different. I think I’ll buy more white ones and try to dye them. Overall though, these are the best kitchen towels.
