We wiped the tile with alcohol to create a good clean grip area. The rod did t stay up 10 mins before crashing down. My tub is 58” wide and the rod SHOULD have fit and stayed in place. Tried MULTIPLE times but it wouldn’t stay up. I do not recommend this shower curtain Rod.

It's a tension rod. It works.
The chrome finish looks decent, but overall it seems pretty expensive compared to most similar products. It’s a standard twist-in-place tension rod with grippy rubbery ends to keep it from sliding. Not sure what others are talking about, but mine came with no adhesives or stickers or whatever. It works just like every other tension rod I’ve ever used throughout my many decades on this planet, but has a slightly nicer appearance. INSTALLATION: Again, this just a standard tension rod. Hold the fatter, outer rod section stationary against the wall while twisting the slimmer, inner rod section in the correct direction to extend it against the other wall. (Mine has a sticker on the rod showing which way to turn the inner rod.) You can also twist both sections in opposite directions from each other if that’s easier for you. Make sure you know which way to twist. You want the rod to get longer so it will press up against the wall! TWIST until it gets VERY TIGHT against the wall. If the rod comes down easily, you probably need to give it more hard twists to make it as tight as it will get. The grippy rubbery pads on each end help keep the rod from sliding, but it still needs to be extended as far as you can get it to go. NOTE: If you’re not getting any tension when twisting the two parts of the rods in opposite directions from each other, then either (1) the ends are being turned in the wrong directions, or (2) your rod is defective.

Sticky ends immediately rubbed off when placing rod so they’re basically useless… I’ll keep the rod because it was a pain to get it placed and I don’t want to start over but I wouldn’t recommend.

Read the reviews, I sure didn't.
The adhesive does not last, the rod doesn't hold tension properly. the first time it fell was I think a month after I bought it, and that's when the adhesive was done for. I've had to put the rod back up with a lot of struggle no less than 5 times now. I'm finally giving up and buying a different new shower curtain rod. This one does look nice so it is a shame it is such a cruddy rod.

Michelle- Per the instructions the sticker is not designed to last, nor is it designed to hold your rod up. Rather, the sticker is simply to assist during initial installation by ensuring your endcaps are in contact with the wall when locking. This simplifies the process and ensures the double-lock mechanism, which is stronger than others in the market, is easy to tighten. Your rod will work just fine without the tape.

Super dangerous - consistently falls down
It wouldn't stay up at all. It felt falling while we used the shower. At one point it fell on my head while I was bathing my infant in the tub and I wasn't even touching it. I am just so glad it didn't fall on my baby.
