I haven’t read the book yet but I am very happy with the packaging!

I loved the story and plot! It was very easy to get into on a fourth wing level! I found the end both predictable and not! But I won’t leave spoilers

This was such a good read and definitely lived up to the hype! I didn’t want to put this book down. this book is full of action, betrayal, magic, and angsty banter. I really loved this world! I’ve always been intrigued by norse mythology, so I was really drawn to this book. The magic system was really intriguing and I loved learning about the different powers in relation to the gods! Let’s talk MCs! Freya is an our feisty fmc who is stuck in a marriage to an arrogant man. Freya longs to be a warrior and achieve battle fame, but cannot due to a secret that could alter her fate. I felt so much for freya in this book. She’s constantly being used by the people in her life but remains selfless through it all. She was pretty cool tho. There were moments I got really annoyed with her bc she just kept making things worse for herself. I was mentally screaming at her to quit being a goof. Bjorn is the heir to the jarl of halsar and has the blood of Tyr making him a formidable warrior. This man is witty! literally from the start he was making me swoon with his snarky flirting! He’s kind of mysterious throughout the book and never seems to fit in among skalanders. And he was absolutely head over heels for Freya! I was kind of expecting this to have more romance based on how it’s been hyped up, but I think it was definitely more plot heavy and focused on politics, battles, and freyas journey. This isn’t a negative thing, but more so putting it out there for others! I really enjoyed all of the battles and suspense in this book and I was on the edge of my seat trying to find out what would happen. I do think the twist with Bjorn was predictable, but there were many other twists thrown in that I did not see coming! The ending had me like woah! As for the romance, it was very swoony. I’m an absolute sucker for banter and this was the moment! Everyone take notes bc this is how banter and tension is done. I really loved the forbidden aspect to their romance and seeing them fall for each other anyway. bjorn was the real star in the romance bc he was possessive, protective, and absolutely enamored with Freya (fair tbh)!

Fast paced and action packed Norse fantasy with an incredible FMC and spicy MMC. I loved Freya and Bjorn’s story.

Amazing book, the story keeps you wanting more.

This book is so beautifully written and will take you down a captivating emotional journey as you turn the pages of Freya’s POV. It is so hard to put down, and the end will have you wanting more. Cannot wait for book 2!

This books is not only funny, but it has a fantastic storyline and smutty romance to boot! I couldn't put it down. If you're a fan of ACOTAR and Fourth Wing, this is the book for you! I can't wait for book 2!

I really enjoyed the story! 💜

I absolutely loved this! Freya goes on a journey both physically and emotionally! There’s a bit of everything in here from interesting magic and world building to romance to steadily moving plot. I also really enjoyed the characters. While we only get Freya’s POV, I still felt like I knew the other characters at play. I really look forward to the next book. Book is still on my TBR and next in line but the book is beautiful and I love the sprayed edges!
