Because of the formulation adjustment, the serum is now a clear color rather than the previous milky, opaque color. I don't like the new bottles... the serum is supposed to be clear, which is why the bottles were solid white so the serum was not exposed to light. The new bottles are translucent and the serum had already started to discolor when I recieved it. Very disappointed because I loved this brand.

I used this product for years and loved it.. until they changed the packaging. The new bottle is transparent and this is not how vitamin c should be stored. Shortly after purchasing this with the new bottle I started developing burning, red rashes immediately following application. I had to throw out the product which was almost full. This never happened with the old packaging. Acure please go back to the old packaging!

this is my favorite vitamin c serum, i recommend it to everyone. BUT the new packaging sucks! vitamin c needs to be stored in an opaque bottle to prevent oxidation from light, the new clear bottle is so useless. the old packaging is actually why i started using this brand in the first place. i’m disappointed they changed it, i can’t justify spending the money on a product that’s going to go bad due to packaging before i can use it.

have been using it for months. haven’t seen a noticeable difference yet. Low percentage of vitamin c (2% in 2020, they don’t disclose it anymore which is absolutely ridiculous considering how many people like myself might’ve chosen it because we need vitamin c in our skincare regimen)

This serum makes my face feel tight and isn't moisturizing at all. I put sunscreen over it and get my glow back with that, but my face still feels tight with this serum underneath. On the plus side it doesn't feel irritating or sting when I apply it. Overall I think it's better for oilier skin types and probably wouldn't repurchase.

I used this for the first time and it caused my face to turn red in the area that I applied it to. I only needed this as a spot treatment in one problem area for brightening. I did a patch test twice and still had a bad reaction. I researched vitamin c prior to chosing this one and it was a fail (for me). It may work for someone else but on my beautiful melanated skin, I'll pass!

As a nail tech and make up artist with over a decade of experience I consider myself to be very experienced with face serums. I’ve tried more than I can count and I’ve even made a few. this one does the job but I can’t really say that it’s anything too specialff. What I liked about it: the cute box and pump bottle it came in. The light fragrance-some serums kind of overdo it with the scent. The fact that it doesn’t feel tacky on the skin and absorbs relatively quick. It also didn’t break me out which is a win! I would recommend this serum to someone that’s just getting into skincare and wants their skin to feel good. What I didn’t like is that I can’t say I’ve noticed too much of a difference as far as the brightening effects go but it’s also only been a week and most skincare products take longer than that to show any significant results. Overall this product didn’t wow me but it is a quality serum

As a nine year verified beauty expert, vitamin C and ferulic acid are the gold standard for brightening the skin. This combo has been the mainstay for most of us, and there doesn't appear to be a downside to it, as it had continued to dominate in the marketplace. However, the these ingredients need to be carefully balanced in the right serum, at the appropriate pH to be truly effective. This is a clear serum, with a bottle not exposed to light, to allow for oxification and it goes on clear and quickly disappears into the skin. With continued use, along with a generous serving of daily SPF, you start to see, .brightening of the skin. There is a fading of dark spots, over time, and the skin is firmer. The vitamin C does wonders for the skin's elasticity.

This Acure brightening vitamin C and ferulic acid serum works wonders in conjunction with the brightening cleanser this left my skin feeling so renewed and awake. I love that this is a super thin consistency, and it melts into the skin rapidly leaving your skin ready for the next step in your routine. I truly loved to see the inclusion of pineapple extract in this serum to help gently exfoliate. I haven't ever gotten such rapid results with a product that claims to brighten but this one truly did do the job. I would recommend this product to my oily skin gals such as myself because it helps reduce my sebum throughout the day. This was the perfect addition to my skincare routine.

This plain white bottle with a yellow and white box is deceiving at first. I was a little put off by its vitamin-like scent. But what I noticed very soon after applying, is how fast it disappears once applied to the skin. As a Medical Aestherician and Makeup Artist, this signifies a true cosmeceautical. Cosmeceauticals work at a cellular level, which is precicely what you would want from a serum and why I gave the product more of a chance beyond the scent. To my pleasant surprise, the serum is lightweight, not sticky, and it really works! It has helped lighten my freckles and brighten my overall skintone. I am usually a little sensitive to Vitamin C products, but from day one this serum was comfortable and very effective. With zero irritation, I'm impressed and recommend it for all skin types. Ferulic acid is a chemical found naturally in a lot of plants, it’s a powerful antioxidant that can prevent cell damage and slow aging. This clear serum is a treatment for skin before moisturizing. Vitamin C helps with fading discoloration, hyper-pigmentation, making the skin more glowy, and improving texture. This is a very good serum, it is a white thin texture and it brightens the skin.

I was very excited after I found out about it because I love it when product lines use clean ingredients, are affordable and you can get them in convenient places. This is by far my favorite Acure product that I have tried. I find this a great way to incorporate Vitamin C into your skincare. It is gentle and effortlessly absorbs into the skin. The one thing I do want to make note of is the smell of this product. It has a stronger potent smell; however, it doesn't stick around. I love how my skin has been looking after using this product consistently over the past week. It looks brighter and rejuvenated. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to add Vit C into their skin routine. It is gentle enough for all skin types plus has clean ingredients.

The Brightening Vitamin C & Ferulic Acid Serum from Acure is a very budget friendly serum choice. This serum works well for my combination skin. It doesn't clog my pores and doesn't dry out my problematic dry areas of my skin. This is a clear serum that feels very silky, something comparable a snail mucin. It absorbs really well without leaving any residue or product sitting on my skin. This serum is unscented. The natural ingredients in this serum don't make for the best scent overall. I feel like what I am smelling might be the ferulic acid which doesn't bother me greatly, but also doesn't appeal to my senses. When I first received this product, I was excited to try it out. I have dry skin in the morning and oily skin at night, and I also have a few red spots from breakouts. I was hoping that this product would help to improve my skin's appearance. I started using this product every night after washing my face and toning. It has a really pleasant, natural botanical smell that I enjoy. The oil is lightweight and sinks into my skin quickly, unlike other serums I've used in the past that were greasy and just sat on my face. In the morning, my skin feels so plump and bright. I've also noticed that the red spots on my face have started to fade since I started using this product regularly. Overall, I'm very happy with this product and I will continue to use it as part of my skincare routine. I would definitely recommend it to others who are looking for a lightweight, effective serum that will help to improve their skin's appearance.

As an esthetician, I am always looking at new and interesting skincare and was excited to try out the Acure Brightening Vitamin C & Ferulic Acid Oil Free Serum. In a vitamin c serum, I like to see plant powered active ingredients. This serum has just that, featuring pineapple and papaya extracts-which also happen to be two extracts I like to use in my clinical esthetics practice! Papain from papaya helps smooth and soften skin, while also fighting signs of aging. Pineapple is an antioxidant powerhouse and packed with vitamin C, brightening the skin and fighting dullness. I love the sleek packaging of the bottle and that it is opaque-which is super important for skincare products, and especially vitamin c since sunlight breaks it down so easily! This serum is a little on the thin/watery side, which may work well if you have more oily or combination skin; for my more dry skin, I usually lean towards thicker serums. This also means that the dry down time is a lot quicker, and you will be less likely to look shiny. Overall, this is a decent and affordable option for a vitamin c serum!

As a retail beauty specialist who has been in the industry for 9 years, I have to say that Acure has come out with some of the most effective beauty products recently. Their Brightening Vitamin C and Ferulic Acid Serum works as a great skin booster! I have noticed a visibly clearer and brighter complexion after using this serum consistently. The texture of this serum is lightweight. It barely has a scent which is great for all my sensitive skin costumers. The Vitamin C in this serum helps improve dark spots and brightens your complexion. The ferulic acid in this serum improves your skin texture. It prevents cell damage and improves signs of aging. This serum also has Pineapple and white tea extract both of which have antioxidant properties. I have to comment on the packaging of this product here. Acure Brightening Vitamin C & Ferulic Acid Serum works well to brighten spots due to aging or sun damage. This serum also helps prevent skin flare ups by preventing skin eruptions. This serum is super easy to use. You simply apply after washing your face and before your skin lotion. This serum isn't sticky and doesn't feel heavy on pores. I would have really liked a lightly scented version as I didn't really get any of the lovely fresh citus pop that I have gotten with the gel cleanser. However, I really liked this serum. It hydrated and gave my face a glow that took years off. I am a salon owner and professional of over twenty years. I have tried just about everything available and this one is certainly worth mentioning. I would recommend it to anyone seeking a good brightening serum that can help prevent age spots from ruining their youthful appearance.
