Stamina AeroPilates Reformer Pilates machine

Loving it so far! I’m 5’10” and I can comfortably exercise on this machine with no problem. I really like that I can work so many areas of my body. And bonus: I am sitting while exercising!!

This machine is awful. I wish I would have read the previous bad review, because it was 100% accurate. This machine is not made for someone who regularly practices reformer Pilates. This machine does not compare to a studio machine.

I bought because of the great reviews but I wonder if the reviewers ever took a pilates class in a studio. It arrived on a rainy day and was damaged (bent and the all the foam sections had indentations that never came out). I threw the box away because it was all wet and had holes in it. I still put it together and tried it out. Nothing like the ones you would use in a class. There is no adjustable bar that holds the leg cords high so the cords constantly hit my shoulders each time I used it for leg exercises. Limited my range of motion with my legs and was annoying. It doesn't roll smooth. There is a constant roll into a dip every time you go back and forth with the machine. So noisy and not sure why it wasn't smooth. Tried to work with the manufacturer but weeks later am still waiting to hear back on a different model that doesn't have the dip/bump (where the seams come together it is not flush) in the roll and a higher cord bar so my shoulders don't get hit every time. It is a lot less expensive then a used professional one but I still cannot recommend it. Will be returning it. Not looking forward to having to lug a big piece of equipment back to Target in no box. Also there are 3 elastic bands (5 springs in the professional ones) that give you resistance. They are pretty weak and within a short amount of time I would think a person would need more resistance. I used all 3 right from the start. I almost forgot. The foot bar and bounce bar don't wedge or screw in tightly so there is flexibility and that is not right. I was so excited to get it for my Christmas present this year and was so disappointed in it.

The item is as discribed. Two clips arrived broken, I called the company and they were quick to send the replacement. The machine is nice and works well. The DVDs are very helpful. My pelvic abs are sore after my first session, this is the first time I have really felt that part of my abs. My only regret is that I don’t have the option to add additional cords.

Just started with it but think it will be great to keep me agile. It would be probably a beginner one for those younger as there are only three ropes for tension. Instructions were perfect and the reformer easy to set up by me. Perfect!

I bought this a couple of months ago and love working out at home and saving gym fees. It was easy to put together and does not take up much space. It came with a great poster and video to get started. The reformer is sturdy and comfortable.

I'm in my mid 60's and bought this to keep me moving. This is helping me to maintain/improve my flexibility, strength, range of motion, etc. Doesn't take up a lot of room & is convenient to use. Didn't give it 5 stars because I haven't had it long enough yet to give it a thorough workout.

Bought this a month ago. I am very overweight at 250 lbs. Just getting it home was a challenge, setting it up was tiring, because I was so out of shape. I started slowly, using 20 minutes of yoga to warm up then worked my way up gradually. Slowly adding different excercise and tensions. I can't believe how far I've come in just 4 weeks. My muffin top is way down, my core and balance is much stronger. I have much more energy. I'm happier. I can do sit-ups, bring my legs over my head, have no back pain, neck pain , sore shoulders and am standing much straighter. It's like night and day. It's my miracle...

I'm used to working on a Balanced Body or Allegro machine, in the studios. I've had 50-100 hours of small group lessons over the past year, so I'm really familiar with the feel of the professional machines. I grew to love working on the reformer and really wanted one at home, but those brands cost $2000 or more! After looking around for a used machine for months - without success - I was delighted to find the very affordable AeroPilates brand from Target, with free shipping. Target sells three versions of this item, at three different prices. I found it impossible to tell what the differences really were, so I ordered the cheapest. The set up was reasonable. It probably took me 60-90 minutes. The instructions were fairly well written. You do not need any tools, other than the one (a combination wrench and screwdriver) included in the box. There was a really strong, unpleasant chemical smell when I unpacked it. I'm not sure if this is from the packaging or the product, but you're going to want to do this in a well-ventilated space. The experience here is noticeably different from a studio-quality reformer. The glide is not as smooth, the frame size is a smaller. It is not so easy to make quick adjustments to the straps. It is a cheaper reformer and it feels cheaper. But it works. There are only three tension cords (latex bands). You can adjust their length to make them stronger or lighter. This is not easy to do on the fly, but you can set the machine to give you a variety of strengths and use them in different combinations for different exercises, and then tighten them as you get stronger. I miss the really nice professional machines, but this is a decent substitute at a dramatically lower price point.

First exposed to Pilates reformer at the Gym and got terrific results after I quit smoking. Decided to buy my own 5 cord reformer (model 55-5000) and I love it. Definitely use it more by buying the large stand. I had 2 minor part replacement situations. Debra in Customer Service was the best! She sent me my screws and cord caps at no charge. This time I ruptured my bungee cord and 1 was sent out immediately. Unfortunately it was defective and another was sent free of charge. I offered to return the first cord but Debra insisted that it wasn't necessary. Currently recovering from both hip replacements within 7 months. My reformer is the best physical therapist ever.

We have two older (used) machines. Whenever we need parts, the customer service is terrific.

Got this for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it. Easy to assemble, too!

I have had this reformer for six years and use it several times a week to supplement my pilates classes. Recently I realized the carriage wheels were cracked and needed to be replaced. When I called customer service and ordered the wheels I was very pleased at the low cost but even more so with the instructions that "Susie" the representative gave me for installing the wheels and adjusting the bungee cords. Great product and company!

I BOUGHT THIS PILATES EXERCISE MACHINE OVER 7 YEARS AGO AND MY WIFE USES IT DAILY IN OUR HOME GYM,IT HAS BEEN AN EXCEPTIONAL PIECE OF EXERCISE EQUIPMENT WITH THE ONLY FAILURE BEING SHE WORE THE WHEEL SLIDES RIGHT OFF THE SEAT,NOT BAD FOR DAILY USE!!

Bought an Aeropilates Reformer Plus (Model 5004 in purple) with the Rebounder and Pull Up Bar with 2 DVDs, on sale, from QVC.COM on 6 easy payments. Also bought the large stand for it. Heavy duty machine and stand. 350 pound limit. VERY easy to assemble. Nice and smooth to stretch out with. Also can do my daily walking horizontally with the rebounder/trampoline and not hurt the old arthritic knee and ankle joints. This is changing my physical life for the better!!! I'm not an addictive personality, but LOVE this machine and NEED it to ease my sore bones. MUCH better for the joints than any ibuprofen or aspirin!!! My wife Denise actually bought this unit to go along with other Pilates products we currently own. Although we have an extensive workout area and variety of types of machines, I initially did not think it would be anything I'd be interested in working out on. As a few weeks went by and I observed the ease of use and benefits of the AeroPilates unit she was experiencing and decided to give it a try. I liked it so much that I began using it regularly and now make it part of my regular workouts as well. In the process of ordering a small part for the unit we noticed your contest for the Power Tower. Co-incidently, she had mentioned that previously, after sustaining a low back injury while in the course of taking physiotherapy, she had used a similar unit and had obtained wonderful results from it! Although we'd like to buy one, winning one would be a lot better as we are 60 years of age, retired and on a limited income. We hope to continue maintaining our fitness levels to regularly enjoy many activities including skiing, rock climbing, kayaking, biking, etc.
