Description
The AeroPress is ideal for any coffee lover looking for a rich and smooth cup of coffee. One pressing with the AeroPress brews one to three servings of American style coffee or one to three servings of espresso style coffee which can then be used to make delicious lattes or other espresso based drinks. The AeroPress also makes smooth, rich cold brew coffee in around two minutes, unlike typical cold brewers that require hours of steep time. It's a great addition to any kitchen but since it is durable, lightweight, and compact, the AeroPress also makes the perfect companion when traveling, camping, boating, or just going to work.

Q: what is the max temperature rating for the device?
submitted by MidnightIrisT1D - 1 year ago
A: Hello, AeroPress can be used with boiling water for brewing coffee. However, we recommend brewing with 175°F (80°C) water for dark roasts and 185°F (85°C) for medium and light roasts to get the best flavor in your coffee. Best wishes, Constance, AeroPress, Inc.

Q: how many tablespoons of coffee can you put in it at once and still squeeze the water through?
submitted by MidnightIrisT1D - 1 year ago
A: Hello, AeroPress can produce up to three cups of coffee. To make three cups of coffee, you would use 3 rounded scoops of coffee (using the included AeroPress scoop). One rounded AeroPress scoop of coffee is 3 Tablespoons. Therefore you can put up to 9 Tablespoons of coffee into the chamber before stirring and pressing the water through. Best wishes, Constance, AeroPress, Inc.

Barely a quarter of a cup, whether it's "espresso style" or diluted americano. And I'm not sure why the packaging boasts it's patented, since manual coffee presses like this have been around since the Edwardian period at least. There needs to be a larger model.
1 reply from AeroPress team - 21 days ago
Thank you for your review. You can brew up to three 8 oz. cups of American style coffee at a time if you brew "espresso style". Start by putting three heaping scoops of medium-fine grind coffee in the AeroPress chamber, shake to level the bed of grounds, then fill up to the (3) on the chamber with hot water and stir for 10 seconds. Insert the plunger and press gently. You've now brewed three espresso-style concentrated "shots". Then, add hot water to bring the total serving to 24 oz. of American coffee. We hope that this helps. - Best wishes, AeroPress, Inc.

Switched from a moka pot to this after my partner melted the moka pot handle over the stove 😬 easy for both of us to use and we don’t need to use the stove since we use the electric kettle hot water. The espresso is very good - not very acidic at all. Follow the directions included and you cannot go wrong

A really great alternative to pour-over stainless steel filters or traditional French presses. Coffee tastes better and is less acidic than either of those methods, and it's so freaking easy to clean. Like anything new there's a bit of a learning curve, but not much. Before I got this I was using a keurig for the sake of consistency, but the aeropress is so simple I am now getting better tasting coffee every single time and producing less plastic waste.

I hardly ever write reviews, but this deserves one. If you are questioning purchasing this product, buy it, it’s worth it! I love it! It is easy to use, quick, no grinds get in my cup, and it is extremely easy to clean. On top of all that, espresso tastes great both hot and cold. Did I mention I love this product?!

I never really cared for the dusty coffee from a french press, so this was a welcome improvement in flavor and simplicity. My espresso machine's bypass doser stopped working years ago and I had a friend who only drinks decaf, so I had to have a way to make her a drip coffee once in a while. I already had a manual ceramic grinder, so getting the right grind was easy and this is so SO much quicker than the old way, much less acidic, and far fuller flavor than the old press. Anyone want a free french press? Not worth a thing to me now! (only deducting a few stars for design and quality due to being plastic, so can't keep it out like a cute chemex drip, but otherwise it's a real find!

Had one before so replaced one that was stolen. It’s perfect for camping; compact and easy to clean. Makes great coffee one cup at a time with no grounds in cup. Very easy to clean.
Javally challenged here lol Wow it’s so easy and the clean up is quite satisfying, my house fights over who gets to pop the puck. It definitely takes a few tries to get your preference. Don’t give up! I like to make two espresso-style cups instead of adding additional water, so strong and yum!

There are hardly any purchases that are this perfect. I am a coffee novice, having ventured into this wild and weird place about a year ago, and quickly buying up nearly every way to make coffee. I had this on my wishlist and put off buying it for about 8 months. I wish I had bought it first, because then I wouldn't be selling a cold brew maker, pour over makers, a drip coffee maker, etc. It took some coffee that I thought was horrible (I almost spit it out) and made it into a good cup of coffee. It's super easy to use, cleans up easily, and makes perfect coffee every time. It doesn't even take as long for my kettle to warm up because the brew temp is lower. If you've been putting off buying this, don't delay any longer. It is as revolutionary to coffee as his Aerobie was to Frisbees.

This thing sold out near me (Skokie) in about 3 weeks after Target had it available on their website and I understand why. Due to me hesitating buying at first, I ended up driving 12 miles to purchase it because it sold out quickly. This thing looks a little complicated to use, have no fear it’s easier than you think. This product makes amazing quality coffee and you taste the low acidity right away. I felt like I had cup of coffee from a good local coffee shop (I used “Illy” 🇮🇹espresso coffee). The clean is not bad either. Solid product overall.

I purchased this on recommendation from a family member for an upcoming camping trip. It's light weight, small, easy to use, and makes a better cup of coffee than my k-cup. It's also a vast improvement over most hotel coffee makers. You can easily brew into a mug or thermos, and can do cold brew as well as hot. It comes with a pack of disposable paper filters (100?), filter dispenser, scoop, stir "key" and easy to follow directions. You have to provide the mug and a kettle or carafe to heat/pour water. It has directions for American and espresso-style coffee plus lattes and cold brew. I definitely would buy this again and plan on using it at home, not just on the road.

I have been using one since 2010-ish and recently bought a new one. The old one still work but it is in the travel/camping kit now. There are many videos of how to make coffee using it (I use the inverted method). One tip if you get one and do not have an electric kettle. I played around and know that 2 cups of water from my refridgerator in a glass measuring cup takes 2 minutes and 52 seconds to heat to 170F in my microwave. That way I get the same tempeture coffee everytime.

AeroPress does a good job of making espresso-like coffee, which can be adjusted into Americanos, lattes, and even cold brew. Clean up is quick and easy, and you can store everything on top of the filter storage after you're done and the equipment is dry. I was hesitant about whether this would do well when I bought it, but now I'm glad that I did. Side note: this is best for making 1 serving at a time (8 oz. max.)
