Q: What is the max amount of coffee this makes? Our 12 cup machine just broke, and our regular coffee press only makes 8.

A: It's not meant for high quantities of coffee. It's mainly meant for a concentrate that can be used like espresso or diluted like americano. You can only use a few tablespoons max of ground coffee.

A: Yes, you can cut your own paper filters from regular cone shaped coffee filters.

A: I agree! It's so hard to find a metal one. Or maybe glass, though prone to break. The plastic gradually corrodes, which means you're ingesting microplastic along the way! And glass might break.

A: Thank you for your question. Yes, you can use the AeroPress Original to brew tea, but note that it is best to pair it with the AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap in order to do so. If brewing without the AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap, you can add the tea leaves and hot water to the chamber, then insert the plunger about half an inch into the top of the chamber to create a vacuum to stop drip through. This will allow you to let your tea steep for as long as you wish. Once you are done steeping, press down on the plunger to press all the water through. Eh, nothing special.
Would lose a whole section from 4 down to 3 when luring the water in. Tried using two filters but didn’t help. It said it would slightly drip but this is like a quarter of my cup of coffee. Just seems stupid. I’d rather spend $35 on a nice French press. This would only come in handy if you’re making a cold cup real quick in the back of your car at work. Also note in my photo that I have butter in my coffee cup that’s why it looks weird.

Thank you for your review and your feedback. Kindly note that even when using the optimal medium-fine grind, it is normal for a minor amount of liquid to drip through prior to stirring and pressing. If a lot of liquid runs through prematurely, remember to shake to level the grounds and pour the water slowly. If an excess amount still runs through prematurely, you need to use a finer grind of coffee. One other tip is that you can insert the seal on the end of the plunger a half inch or so into the top of the chamber to stop drip-through. The seal stops drip-through just like putting your finger on the top of a straw stops dripping out of the bottom of a straw. We hope that this helps! It's true!
So I was skeptical that all of the reviews were so positive, but I get it now. I just made my first cup of coffee and it is SO good! it was simple and quick to make, and perhaps best of all, easy clean up. Amazing product for an amazing price. (Coming from a former barista). I havent tried it with espresso yet but if I do I’ll come back and update.

Never going back to bottled from the store
I had heard a lot of good things about this coffee maker. I wanted to get into making my own coffee from scratch. I decided on this over a French press. Since it was my first time, I didn’t want to spend a lot on coffee beans. After reading reviews on a lot of beans, I chose a medium roast with notes of caramel, toffee and brownie from La Colombe. I just made my first cup, and it’s simply beautiful and the freshest cup of coffee I’ve ever had. It’s so quick and simple. There’s no bitterness or acidity whatsoever. I don’t think I’ll ever buy bottled cold brew again.

Love how easy and portable this is. I don’t drink coffee frequently so this product was perfect for me. Pro tip don’t use the method the instructions came with it, I used the inverted method; where it’s standing on the plunger, add the coffee, slowly add hot water and mix, place the filter cap, flip with cup then press the plunger to fill cup. There’s a YouTube just incase.

Love the AeroPress. The quality of the coffee you get out of it doesn't compare to a standard drip coffee maker or keurig. It also has a lighter, less acidic flavor than a traditional French press because you don't let it steep as long. Using freshly ground beans each times helps you get the best cup too! It takes a few times to really get the hang of using it but after that it's super easy. The only downside I can think of is that it produces one cup at a time, but I am the only coffee drinker in my house so not a problem for me. I have started giving this as a gift to family members and highly recommend!

Not for espresso but good for your normal cup of joe
I have the aeropress clear and I think that one makes better espresso which was my main reasoning for this product. This is still nice to make coffee on the go! I recieved this product is exchange for my honest review.
