The Cuisinart® Custom Grind and Brew Single Cup Coffee Maker brings together the rich flavor of freshly ground beans and the ease of single-serve brewing. It features a stainless steel conical burr mill that grinds whole beans just before brewing, so every cup is fresh and bold. Q: I know it says get a paper 4-cup filter for the basket, but there are varying sizes of the 4-cup filter. Can you tell me the exact measurements of the paper filter that will work best?

A: Hi Debi! Thanks so much for your question! The filter basket for the DGB-30 can take a basket paper filter 3” in diameter and up to 2” in height. Please make sure to remove the permanent gold tone filter first and that the paper filter fully covers the inside of the brew basket.

Top Cuppa Joe
I particularly enjoy having the coffee all set up for several days, so that all I need to do is push the button to get an excellent cuppa joe in the morning. Seems to be the best coffee I've made at home, and it is easyh and fast.

The perfect cup every time
This coffee maker is everything I ever wanted! Uses fresh whole coffee beans, grinds immediately prior to brewing, coffee brews fast and hot. I have a cup of perfectly brewed coffee in about a minute! Cleanup is easy and fast. I can’t say enough good things about this machine!

Each cup as fresh as the last one.
I wanted to get away from K-cups, but did not want to brew a full pot of coffee. This machine exceeded my expectations for convenience and taste. I work from home and drink about 4 cups of coffee a day. Each cup is just as fresh as the last one.

I really wanted to like this coffee maker. Let’s start with the initial set up. The manual tells you before using the coffee maker, you first must run a clean cycle. What it doesn’t tell you is that you have to have beans in the top for this to happen. I assumed it needed to be empty for the clean cycle but that wasn’t the case. I had to cover the sensor in order for it to work. Once I figured that out, I brewed my first cup. I brewed a 10 ounce cup on bold. It wasn’t very strong. The second cup seemed better. I noticed today that it didn’t brew the full 10 ounces. I weighted my coffee and it was only 9.2 ounces. Then I ran two water only brews and those only produced between 5-6 ounce. It is very inconsistent with the amount of water/coffee you get. I don’t think I’ve reached a full 10 ounces yet. I’ve had the coffee maker for only a few days. I will likely return it because of the price and the inconsistencies with this coffee maker. For the cost I would expect a better product.

I like it! Convenience plus. Easy to load beans and water supply, easy and quick to rinse/clean the basket assembly after brewing, this thing makes great coffee EASY! So, it's EASY to recommend this coffee maker to all coffee affectionatos.

Weak coffee
This coffee maker sounded promising, especially with its “bold” setting, but it just doesn’t deliver. Every cup comes out thin and bland, no matter how much I adjust the settings. The machine looks fine and runs quietly, but the coffee itself is consistently weak. If you’re hoping for a bold brew, this isn’t the one.

Weak coffee flavor
I was so looking forward to having a truly fresh ground and brewed cup of coffee so I purchased this single grind and brew coffee maker since I am the only one in my household who drinks coffee. I was tired of the k-cups. I am very disappointed. The coffee is weak even though I put it on bold and even 8 oz. I've even tried to use ground coffee to see if that helped flavor even though I purchased the machine for freshly ground coffee. I've only had a week and I want to return it since it is not living up to what I'd hoped, especially for the price of the machine.

weak coffee
My wife and I were excited to get this. Unfortunately it only brews weak coffee even when choosing "bold" at 8 ounces. There is no way to adjust the amount of beans it will grind to increase the strength of the brew. Disappointed.

Great idea, but poorly made. Grinder jams frequent
We loved this new coffee maker. The first couple days were easy and the coffee tasted great. However, the grinder jammed every time we tried to brew. Now every morning we have to take apart the grinder, clean it out, just to get one cup. I am filling out a return form and sending this back.

A beautiful and refreshing coffee experience
You truly get a coffee shop cup of fresh coffee at home anytime, day or night! The only regret is not being able to find a 2nd coffee filter basket. It would save time on brewing a 2nd cup without stopping to wash the basket out between cups. It is very easy to operate. I love the sound of grinding coffee beans! Not loud, just anticipating my fresh coffee. Love the extra hot temp of each cup of coffee. I would definitely recommend this coffee maker to everyone. Great job Cuisinart for a beautiful machine and great coffee experience!

The Best I've Experienced
In the past 2 years, I've bought 4 different coffee machines. I've been disappointed with all of them. About a month ago I purchased the Custom Grind and Brew Single-Cup Coffee Maker and have been very impressed with the quality of the machine and especially the quality of the coffee itself. You can pay a lot more and not get near the cup of coffee you're looking for.
