Q: Does the machine deposit the grounds directly into the filter basket? Or do I need to measure and scoop the grounds into the basket?

submitted by Heather - 1 month ago
  • A: Directly into the basket depending on size selection and brew strength level selection!! Easy

submitted byBlessedmomma - 24 days ago
  • A: Hi Heather, thanks for your question! This unit does both! You can choose to grind fresh beans (which will be deposited into the filter basket) or use your own grounds!

Q: how loud is the grinder?

submitted by MGP - 4 days ago
  • A: Hello, The grinder operates at a noise level below 80 dBA, which is an industry standard — while you may hear it during use, it’s designed to be as quiet as possible without compromising performance.

Q: Is the steam coming out normal? The front of the coffee maker gets all well because of that.

submitted by Maria - 17 days ago
  • A: A little condensation is normal for this machine. If you think your unit is producing excessive moisture, please reach out to the Cuisinart Consumer Assistance Team.

Q: It says it holds 8oz of beans. How many cups of coffee can you get out of 8oz.? Thanks

submitted by Maria - 26 days ago
  • A: The number of cups you can brew with the DGB-30 from 8 oz of coffee beans will vary depending on the brew size selected and whether you are brewing over ice. As a general guideline, 8 oz of beans can yield approximately 12–16 standard 8 oz cups of coffee when brewed normally. Using larger cups or brewing over ice will reduce the total number of servings.

Q: how long does it take to nake one single serve

submitted by Maryk - 1 month ago
  • A: Thanks for your question! This unit will brew a cup in about one minute

Q: How do you get the grinder out. It says to lift out after you take the hopper off.

submitted by Flo - 1 month ago
  • A: Thanks for your question! The grinder should lift out of the machine once the hopper is removed. Simply lift the metal handle and turn LEFT to unlock. Pull up and out.

Q: Can you skip the beans and use ground coffee in the filter to brew a cup?

submitted by kc - 1 month ago
  • A: Thanks for your questions, KC! Yes, you can use pre-ground coffee to make a cup in this machine.

Q: If you use paper filters, can you just dispose of those and skip cleaning the filter? Trying to make multiple cups quickly. Thanks

submitted by Kim2000 - 1 month ago
  • A: You have to remove disposable one or clean reusable one between each brew. It would blink or make noise, or overfill since the basket isn’t that large.

submitted byMelySA - 1 month ago

Q: How hot does the water get? Can the temperature be adjusted?

submitted by Olliedog - 1 month ago
  • A: Thanks so much for your question! The coffee heats to between 180-200 degrees.

submitted byProduct Expert - 1 month ago

Q: Can the grind be adjusted? Fine to coarse?

submitted by Will - 2 months ago
  • A: Thanks for your question, Will! The grind on this unit cannot be adjusted, but it does use a medium grind size and the amount of ground for each cup will vary by size and strength.

Terrible!

Hate this machine. It literally gets clogged in the grinder every time we try to make a cup of coffee. Takes 10 minutes for a cup of coffee because of this. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Quality Product

This coffee maker does an excellent job grinding the beans and producing a great coffee flavor. The setup was easy and the operation pretty straight forward. Clean-up is a little tedious, make sure to wipe the underside of the machine where the grounds and water come out. Overall, this is a great product.

Perfect!

This is perfect for me! I love my kitchen because it fills the air with the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee. I have full control over the strength of my coffee. Even my best friend remarked that it is exceptional. The design is also outstanding!

Freshly brewed

The entire house loves the smell of fresh beans being brewed. Only negative, splash a little too much while it drips into cup.

Single cup coffee maker with bean grinder

I love the freshness of coffee made from ground coffee beans. I like the flexibility of different cup sizes and strength brews. It’s not easy to switch to a flavored coffee or a cup of decaf, unless you change to pre-ground coffee.

Disappointed

Disappointed with this coffee maker. The coffee comes out very weak no matter what I try. You’re also limited to using only certain non-flavored beans because residue from flavored beans can clog the grinder. Not what I expected.

big disappointment

I was really looking forward to this for fresh single serve coffee. Much to my disappointment the machine would not brew. Had to return.

Great coffee maker!

Great coffee maker, no pods, fresh beans every time. I cleared a drip coffee maker and a pod coffee maker off my counter. I gifted one to my sister for the Holidays and she loves hers too.

Perfect upgrade

We bought this single serve coffee maker to use occasionally, when our full pot Cuisinart was too much. But we love it so much, we have not used our full pot coffee maker since getting this. The best features are the freshly ground beans, each of us can choose the strength and amount of coffee and no paper filters to throw out. The challenges are that even mild coffee is pretty strong, you have to remember to empty the grounds right away and rinse the filter, I leave the filter door open so it can dry out completely which looks messy, and the water tank is smallish and needs to be refilled with fresh water every 2 days.

Poorly designed

Received this for Christmas and was excited to switch out my other Cuisinart Coffee Maker. The grinder constantly beeps that it’s clogged. I need to take it apart and clean it out for it to turn on for 2 seconds and immediately start beeping and it’s clogged again. Spend 10 mins cleaning and repeating this step to get a cup of coffee. Try to brew a second cup and the same thing happens. My coffee beans are freshly roasted and not slick or oily, so there’s no reason for this to clog so easily. Design flaw plus poor execution, back to the store it goes.

Just bought

So far I have to say that we love this coffee maker. It definitely gives you a very fresh good cup of coffee unlike others. Would like to be able to add an additional ground basket for quicker second cup process.

B best cup of coffee ever… And it’s easy.

I’ve done the Keurig and have done drip coffee makers before and this is hands-down the best coffee maker I’ve ever owned. Every morning, my wife, goes on about how good the coffee is. Every morning I look forward to actually having at first sip of coffee. The aroma alone is the coffee is being brewed is a treat for the senses. We got the coffee maker two weeks before Christmas and with Christmas guests in and out of the house they go on and about how great the coffee is. The system cannot be easier to use, easier to clean and maintain. It takes up much less time in preparation and cleanup then a single pot drip coffee maker and is much more economically, feasible and environmentally sustainable than Keurig or Nespresso. A family member and friend have already purchased this coffee maker due to tasting the coffee and seeing ours.

Flexible Choices

You can choose the size and strength you want. Large water reservoir. Would have been 5 stars, but it grinds the coffee too fine allowing sediment to pass through filter and the front of the unit gets covered in steam when used requiring a wipe down each use.

Good idea but needs work

The first machine did not work correctly, the grinder kept getting beans stuck and had to reset , unplug, clean. I returned it and 2nd machine seems to work fine but the power button is same as brew so when trying to turn off it brews another cup wasting my coffee beans. Not very happy with this product.

Definite Upgrade from Keurig.

Love the fresh bean grinding snd the strong coffee. Have used the Keurig for years and what a difference in taste. Only comment I would have is you have to (or supposed to) unload the ground tray after each cup. I get it but I wish there was a better design so you did not have to go through all these steps to get another cup of coffee.

Great Coffee Maker!!

This is a great alternative to the Keurig style machines- getting rid of pods. Just remember it’s not a robot- you must occasionally adjust the beans otherwise you don’t brew a proper cup of coffee!!

Bean to brew

I really like this coffee maker. I find it makes a delicious cup consistently. Others complain about having to clean the filter, add water, are part of a great cup of coffee. I am glad to be off the pod and on the beans!
