African Pride Feel It Formula Peppermint Rosemary & Sage Strengthening Detangler Hair Cream - 12 fl oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the African Pride Pre-poo detangler for two wash days in my matted 4c hair. Here's what I found: the product has a gel like texture, has ok slip, a strong scent of rosemary mint accompanied by an even stronger tingling sensation on the scalp (think sucking a mint then drinking a cold glass of water afterwards). Did it help with softening and detangling my hair? Yes, but with the addition of a lot of product. I'm not I'm love with this formula and would much rather use the coconut water and aloe version, that knew was a 10/10, this id rate as a 6/10

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second pre-poo I've used from African Pride; the Aloe version is a holy grail product for me. The Feel It Formula iteration is different, but it works. The menthol smell is more pronounced (very strong) than the feeling. I didn't feel any tingling nor any irritation. After leaving the product on my strands for 15-20 minutes each time, my hair was easier to comb through, but I feel like this product doesn't coat as well as the Aloe version. It's not as thick in texture either. Overall, it did do what it was supposed to do - help me detangle my hair.
