Cheap, VERY comfortable, and despite *strong* bass, it's not overpowering. I bought these to use while gaming and as a second reference while mixing music. The bass is strong and definitely forward, but not overpowering. It's pleasing to the ear. The mids and high mids seem well balanced, which is where it matter most in my opinion. Build quality is good. Nothing cheap about them. I really have to say a second time how comfortable they are. My old studio monitor headphones were unbearable after about forty minutes. These can be worn for hours at a time with no discomfort at all. The faux leather on the ear cups is also holding up nicely after owning these for about two years. No cracking or fraying. I've owned a handful of headphones over the years for mixing, listening, and gaming and these are my favorites in terms of comfort by a factor of ten.
Value for the money.

I have been thinking about buying this product at full price. When the new years sale hit and they marked it down for %50 off I couldn't resist and I am glad I didn't. The ONLY thing that worries me about them is that they feel as though they are too lightweight. But in reality they have great sound and they are extremely comfortable even worn for hours.
Great sound

Overall a 4/5. I'm worried about longevity as the style is very thin and the plastic isn't the toughest. I started with the bummer because everything else is amazing. -The sound is rich and full. Far better than the pricetag would belie. -The ears are comfortable even with prolonged use. -The look is sleek and refined but still bold. Given the pros and cons this is a definite buy.
Thank you!!!

This reasonably-priced set of headphones delivers excellent sound with clarity and spatial accuracy. The price is incredible for such a performance. Finally, the headphone sit comfortably and offer good isolation. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for an outstanding value.

I bought this a few weeks ago and have been enjoying it. The reason I chose a studio monitoring headphone is that I did not want the features of sound be set as default for me as it is in many none monitoring popular headphones. Wanted to be in full control. I have not worn it for long hours to see if it causes discomfort around the ears. I liked it so much that I even made a stand for it. Fully hand made at home.

Needed an inexpensive new pair in a hurry. These are very comfortable and sound great for this price range, perfect for my small home studio. Only improvement would be a swappable headphone cord.
Very very high quality

I use these K92s for studio recording an electronic drum kit. The quick response and frequency range makes for a really authentic acoustic drum sound reproduction. The volume levels are huge which means you could take this into a live, environment even without monitoring. The audio clarity, volume and dynamics easily matches, or out performs some headsets that are priced at 5x the price of the K92. The closed back does prevent a large amount of leakage but they can still be heard significantly enough that they could be picked up by sensitive microphones should you be trying to record acoustic instruments. So could get click track / scratch track bleed into the main mix.
Love these headphones!!

Just bought the headphones recently. They are wonderful. The sound coming from my mp3 player and laptop is crystal clear. I will be buying another set for my wife as she loves them too. For the price I paid I am very pleased. Great headphones guys!
Comfortable, but requires careful source pairing

The build quality is very solid for the price, and they are extremely comfortable, but there are some issues with the sound. The frequency response is very heavily biased toward bass and mid-bass on most sources. When listening to a completely flat reference source, they sound mostly balanced and neutral. Running them off a headphone amp, or directly off an iPhone, the bass response is way too much. Looking at some test graphs, it seems they are designed to try an approximate the Harman Listener Target Curve, or at least, as much as that is possible in a set of budget headphones. It works on extremely flat sources, and gives a lot of detail, but they are not happy with "consumer" sources. I would not describe them as a balanced reference set. They are probably a good post production listening reference, or a good rehearsal headphone, as they try to aim toward the Harman curve, but they are not for hi-fi listening, unless your hi-fi equipment includes an absolutely flat headphone amp or source.

Best headphone purchase of my life. I read all of the reviews before buying: the earpieces too shallow, the grip too tight, the soundstage a little confined, not perfectly neutral, etc, etc. I disagree. Easily the most comfortable headphones I have ever put on. The sound is so present I have before been startled because it sounded like someone talking was behind me. As though you are listening to monitor speakers. So comfortable they don't shift around and I forget I'm wearing them even for 9 hours a day at work. They look brand new six months after I bought them. I have never heard or worn better, and I'm back at AKG to find more of the same.
VERY comfortable and awesome depth!

I bought these when I purchased the AGK C414 mic. I will go for hours on Ableton and not even realize they are there. Feels like a pillow! They don't let any music through when I'm recording tracks whilst wearing, and I also use them for gaming because they are so versatile. Great depth and nuance pick up that is lacking in other headphones. I HEAR more. If that makes sense. With other headphones, I feel I lose the beautiful low end and fullness that make THESE phones stand out. Cord length is long and the headphones came with a screw on 1/4inch adapter that works great. I've done a lot of studio work in different places, using their headphones and setups and I honestly wish more people would buy these. They are one of the best non-costly investments I've made, and I don't feel the need to throw hundreds of dollars on some other pair. If I ever do, they'll be AKG as well. These do the job, and do it well.

Very well-balanced between the highs and the lows...... that is the bass and the treble. Very good with the volume ascendance ability. What I mean by that is when you turn up the volume on your device ALL THE WAY UP, some headphones either don't get very loud or there is a lot of distortion. The only Distortion that does occur is probably due to the quality or the recording volume that the musical track was given. And lastly, I like the fact that it has a support band for the headphones themselves and a headrest band so that the top of your head doesn't actually rest on the support bands. Comfortable and they go on ALL the way over your ears !!!!
Love the sound

The AKG K92 is a great pair of value studio headphones! They are for the beginning content creator that wants to get the best out of his/her work. The soundstage is big and the audio is precise. They are very comfortable and can be worn for a great amount of time. The construction is of high quality and the cable is long and strong. You need to burn them in for quite a long time though. I would recommend a lot of movies they are great for that! Once you are past that you will realise that they are definitely worth your money. The audio will be smoother, deeper and more composed and all without losing it's big audio stage or precision! I find that very impressive. Give your AKG K92 patience and time and you will get so much more back!
