Q: i wanna started taking this Alli Orlistat but was reading about the mutivatimins does it matter which ones or whats recommended thanks!
A: Thank you for your interest in alli and for your question. You should take a multivitamin that contains fat soluble vitamins (vitamins A, D, E, K, and beta-carotene) when using alli capsules. Because orlistat, the active ingredient in alli, can reduce the absorption of fat soluble vitamins, we recommend taking a multivitamin once a day, at bedtime to ensure adequate absorption.

Q: I've been using Alli for 2 days now, but nothing has happened! I've also checked to make sure I'm consuming the correct amount of food, fat and water! When should these tablets start working?
A: If you follow a reduced-calorie, low-fat diet, get regular physical activity, and take alli capsules as directed, you could see results in the first two weeks. Most weight loss usually occurs within the first six months. Individual results vary. If you stop using alli, continue with your diet and exercise program. You may start to regain weight after you stop taking alli. You may need to start taking alli again along with a reduced-calorie, low-fat diet and physical activity.

Q: Can you eat this with something healthy too?
A: Thank you for your inquiry. The product label defines the current GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSKCH) position with respect to the safe and effective use of its products. For the best results on alli, you should stick to a certain amount of fat per meal, this could be anywhere between 12 g and 19 g of fat per meal. These recommendations are consistent with dietary guidelines (total fat intake between 20% and 35% of calories). Orlistat, the active ingredient in alli capsules, prevents the absorption of some dietary fat but does not limit the absorption of calories from protein or carbohydrate. So, if you replace calories from fat by eating more carbohydrates or protein, you will not get the benefits of alli and will lose less weight. Therefore, it is important to stick to your calorie and fat target by eating foods that are lower in both calories and fat. Finding your daily calorie range helps you to understand how many calories you need to stay healthy and still lose weight. Prior to using a product, we recommend you always follow the product label instructions. If you are unsure whether a product is suitable for you, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

Q: What is the average weight loss in 6 months?
A: Thank you for your inquiry. Diet and exercise are the starting points for any weight loss program. Most weight loss occurs in the first 6 months. For every two pounds you lose from dieting alone, alli can help you lose one more. Please note that specific results may vary from one person to another. The extent of weight loss largely depends on your efforts. Regular physical activity and use of alli capsules along with reduced calorie, low-fat diet, as directed on the product label will help you achieve successful results. Prior to using a product, we recommend that you always follow the label instructions. If unsure about the suitability of a particular product, please consult your doctor for further advice.

Q: Can i take this if i had high blood pressure ?
A: The safety of consumers is of utmost importance to GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSKCH) and we routinely monitor the safety of our products in a proactive and systematic way. Weight loss may be accompanied by an improvement in blood pressure. Patients who are taking a medicinal product for hypertension should consult a doctor or pharmacist when taking alli, in case it is necessary to adjust the dose of these medicinal products. GSKCH always recommends using any products as described on the product label. In case of any further concerns, please consult your doctor.
