Awesome if you are looking to transform into an oompa loompa. Very orange. Also, a small amount was on my neck somehow and I didn't realize it....saw it later and it looked like a hickie. An oompa loompa with a hickie. No thank you.

This has been my go-to daily foundation since I was 15 years old (32 now). I always switch between 200 and 300 depending on how light or dark I am during the seasons. It's super lightweight, lasts LONG through the day, and is even waterproof if you set it with a good powder (I've gone swimming with it multiple times). I just use a little concealer to touch up some acne/dark spots but for the most part, it looks like a very natural skin-like finish. It's buildable if you need more coverage, but I like how lightweight it is when I'm not looking to cake up my face and don't want to use regular heavy foundation. I'm a big fan of the "smart shade" technology as it seems to match me well everytime. I hope they never change the formula because it has seemed to work well for me these past 17 years. (I will add though, not really great for flash photography as the spf in it tends to make a white cast on the face)

Allergic reaction. I have never had an allergic reaction to any other makeup and I have been wearing foundation makeup for 31 years. My face is itchy and has red hives. I had a reaction a couple months ago as well, but wasn't sure if it was the almay foundation, then or a sunscreen. Yesterday I put on the almay foundation with no other products. This morning, my face itch is so bad and has hives. I wouldn't risk using this product. I thought Almay was supposed to be a good brand. I guess not. Never again.

O wow!! Matches me perfectly. Which never happens. I have a honey colored indigenous skin . Super hard to match. Also it controls shine and lasts all day. Unbelievable

I am 77 and have tried many different foundation makeups. This is by far the best I have used. It is so light and makes my skin feel dewy and hydrated. Love this product.

Major breakout after several uses. At first I was very impressed and thinking, “ I’ve found my new everyday foundation”, as I thought the color blending was good and it didn’t seem to cake or dry out my skin. But after several uses, I had some atypical breakouts and at first I didn’t make the connection. But after multiple uses and horrific breakouts, even on my eyelid and earlobe, I have come to the conclusion that this product doesn’t agree with me. I wish it had because I really did think the color matching was good and the product felt light and comfortable on my skin. I tend to have slightly sensitive skin, but this extreme breakout is like nothing I’ve experienced in my adult years. This reminds me of horrible teenage acne when I wasn’t as diligent at washing my face and I routinely went to bed with a face full of makeup and I wore heavy foundation. Anyway, my hormones are not raging, I have good skin care, have no history of any breakouts as such in recent years, so the only think I can attribute this to is adding this product to my beauty regimen. I’m glad to hear others are not breaking out as I have, because I really did like the product until my whole face had these breakouts. I wont include pic of the breakout, It’s too embarrassing to look like this

Don’t believe negative reviews. I have tried everything, liquid, sheer tints, baked, mineral powder, and I keep reaching for my Almay smart shade light. The coverage is beautiful. It’s hydrating. It stays and stays and stays. It really is the best I’ve used and I am very happy with it. I hope they don’t discontinue it.

I double-checked the almost identical My Best Light foundation I bought earlier this year, and Almay apparently dropped the Anti-Aging version of this same product. Very, very disappointed. This summer, I bought Almay's Smart Shade, Anti-Aging, Skintone Matching foundation w/SPF 15. I used Neutrogena's high SPF suncreen underneath, and this foundation, with the anti-aging feature seemed like it protected my skin better. I have long commutes, plus at times work outside, so, I felt this product with the Anti-Aging was valuable to me as a customer. So, while I love this product, I am very disappointed Almay would drop the anti-aging version. Most *all* of us over 30 appreciate an anti-aging feature! The product blends in well, stays all day, and provides protection from sun's rays.

I owned this a couple years ago and thought it was great. Coverage is decent and there isn't a white cast if blended thoroughly. Re-bought this week and it ended up making my skin dry and scaly. It feels tight, like maybe it's dehydrating, and then the spread doesn't look as seamless as it used to. I ended up feeling like I had irritation on my forehead and around my jaw from this.

Did not make me break out, which is always a plus, and lasts a decent while, but this is really bad for people with cool undertones in their skin. I looked grossly orange in this. If you have warm tones, though, I'd reccomend trying this out
