Q: Does this device have voice to text?
A: Does it take text from other devices?
submitted byRick - 22 days agoA: Hi Permagrin, thank you for your question. No, the Kindle Scribe does not have built-in voice-to-text functionality for note-taking or other text input. It has a feature called VoiceView, which is a text-to-speech accessibility tool that reads aloud content, but it's not a speech-to-text tool. The Scribe also has the ability to convert handwritten notes to text when sharing them, but it doesn't offer real-time voice transcription. I hope this helps, have a great day!

Q: Can it work with plaud devices that summarize meetings to text?
A: Hi Rick! While the Kindle Scribe doesn't support apps to directly sync with your Plaud device, you can send the exported document to the Scribe via the 'Send to Kindle' feature. This will allow you to take advantage of all the great note taking and annotation features of the Scribe directly on your transcript! I hope that helps, have a great rest of your day!
submitted byAmazon Devices Customer Support - 21 days agoBrand expertA: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Amazon Kindle Scribe with Premium Pen (16 GB) 2024 Release - Tungsten While there is no seamless, wireless sync, it is easy to use the Plaud device for transcription and the Kindle Scribe for reviewing and annotating the final text document by using the transcribe/summarize using the Plaud app on your phone/tablet to create a text transcript, then export it to be opened on the Scribe using the "Send to Kindle" feature, either via email or Amazon's web tool. Once the summary is on the Scribe, you can use the Premium Pen to handwrite annotations, highlight key phrases, or expand on the bullet points of the AI-generated summary, essentially merging digital transcription with paper-like review. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: Does it have a built in speaker for text to voice?
A: Hi Rick! Currently no Kindle devices feature a built-in speaker, but they all feature Bluetooth so you can connect your favorite headphones, earbuds, or wireless speaker to use VoiceView or listen to audio books. If you're looking for a tablet that's great for reading but also features built-in speakers, I would check out the Fire 11 Max tablet. I hope that helps, have a great rest of your day!

Q: Does it have an SD a lot to expand its memory??? Or is it only 16GB??
A: Hi Agnes1981, No, the Amazon Kindle Scribe does not have an SD card slot for expandable memory; its storage is fixed and not upgradeable.
