Description
The Antennas Direct® ClearStream 4MAX® Complete is a whole-home HDTV antenna system with everything you need to receive free OTA television and never pay for TV again. This powerful antenna uses 4 patented loops and comes with the Jolt Switch in-line amplifier for controlled, boosted TV signal reception more than 70 miles from towers. Distribute signal to 3 TVs with the 3-port splitter. A 20-in. mast has a pivoting base for installation on vertical and horizontal surfaces indoors, in an attic, or outdoors. The Jolt Switch USB amplifier adds 18 dB of gain at the flip of a switch. Turn on to increase signal reception or off when a TV channel doesn’t need it and still benefit from FM and cellular filtering. Multi-directional UHF and Hi-VHF elements offer reliable reception from the front and back of the antenna. It's ideal for suburban and rural areas where heavy foliage or roofing materials between your antenna and local towers can interfere with reception. Best antenna.
This antenna provides an excellent picture and was easy to put together and install. Used it for my fish camp, pulls in 25 channels in Conneaut, Ohio. Great for Monday night football. No freeze ups or pixelations. Very happy with the purchase.

Almost, but not quiet good enough
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was just a little better than the cheap indoor antenna I threw in the garbage previously. This guy would do better outside in a high location. My towers are 35 miles away. I had this about 25 feet outside, and still could not get one ABC station consistently. I had to buy another antenna to get that specific station. This may work well for some situation, but unfortunately not mine.

Antenna signals can be tricky due to fluctuations in signal strength coming from the TV transmitting towers and atmospheric conditions. You may want to try running a channel scan without the included amplifier. Over-amplification can occur if you are trying to use an amp too close to the broadcast towers. Awesome Attic/Outdoor Antenna
I was looking for a truly good antenna to put in my attic. After viewing reviews, I decided on the ClearStream4Max Complete. Installation was pretty simple; I found a good spot in my attic where I could keep the antenna level. I used the AntennaPoint app to point the antenna in the direction of my local towers. My house already was wired for coax cable, so I was able to wire the antenna into the existing amplifier/splitter in my attic. From there, I made sure the 3 TVs in the house were all connected via existing coax jacks. The newest TVs in the house right away had signal and were displaying OTA channels. I had to scan for channels on the oldest TV. Picture quality is wonderful and I am getting 60+ local channels, including all the major networks. I only noticed some slight static on the local ABC channel; a Channel Master 5G/LTE filter cleared that up. With my antenna in the attic, I still have that great picture quality even during bad weather. This antenna is legit - buy it.

70+ mile antenna
Works great. I'm 50 miles out from downtown Seattle. Worked good by just guessing aim direction, but was not getting King 5 for some reason. Downloaded Aim app few days latter and dialed in. Comes in great now. Crystal clear. Mounted on roof. Should have done this along time ago. Canceled my cable except for internet and phone. Will pretty much pay for itself in one month.

Not impressed.
I've mounted it about 15 feet high on the house. It will pick up channels 35 miles away but not pickup channels 50-70 miles away. My flat indoor antenna on the wall does just as good. I feel sure that if was on a 50 foot pole it would do better, but at my age I'm not going any higher. It was pretty expensive for what I got, so I may be sending it back.

To be sure the antenna is facing the towers, we do have a free app called Antenna Point you can download to your iOS or Android phone. Once you download, the app will identify your location. You will see the towers in the surrounding area, so you aim the antenna in the right direction to pick up the TV signals. If this does not help, before you return the antenna, please give our tech support team a call at 877-825-5572 and they will perform a very detailed signal analysis of your location, this will better assist them in pinpointing what the problem may be. Does what it claims to do!
Great antenna. Easy assembly. I'm glad I bought it. Support is fast with responses. I broke one part when the antenna took a dive off the roof before I got it fastened down. They were gracious enough to send me another one free. Great company. I will recommend them!

Not good in the mountains
We just moved to a home in the mountains, and were hoping we could receive at least a handful on OTA channels from our roof, but the best we were able to achieve was a few channels recognized but non that would play/stream. The towers are less than 30 miles away, but obscured by trees and topography that this antenna cannot overcome.

Antenna signals can be tricky due to fluctuations in signal strength coming from the TV transmitting towers and atmospheric conditions. Try moving the antenna to another location, up higher is always best, and rescan your TV for channels. We recommend you try moving your antenna to several locations and rescan your TV every time you move the antenna until you find the best signals. You may also want to try running a channel scan without the included amplifier. Over-amplification can occur if you are trying to use an amp too close to the broadcast towers and could very well disrupt the signal.
