No Email + 2 Years Depends On the Product
Never got the email so I couldn’t set it up and spent forever on the phone having to manually figure it out only to discover what I paid for is actually just to cover an additional year of coverage that’s not covered by the manufacturer. No it wasn’t in spam. I also had to go back and forth with an AI Bot that didn’t know what she was doing to figure out what was really happening. Right after the website says “you need to call for help”, I call and the AI agent says “you need to file it online”. Circles. Aside from that I’m also annoyed by the timeframe because no product is going to be without ANY protection for a long time by the manufacturer. So, because the first year is already covered for the product, AllState doesn’t do anything for you until after that lapses. This whole thing was a little misleading. At least it’s not super expensive for most cases.

Avoid!
I ordered this and Target claims the email was sent, but I never got it. Checked and rechecked all folders, never received. But I am getting spammed with random insurance emails. Looking at other reviews I am not the only one who never got the email. Very scammy.

Scam Allstate Warranty
After the cord broke in my phone, I reached out to Allstate to handle the warranty that I bought. This is my third of these cables in the past year. Each lasts just 3 months before breaking in the same way. After filing my Allstate claim, they indicated that I should contact the manufacturer myself because it was still under warranty and closed my claim. If I already had a manufacturer warranty and they’re not doing anything then they should return our money. I see a class action lawsuit.

Unnecessary
I won’t need this 2 year electronic Protection Plan. Since the Cuisine Art popcorn popping machine was delivered.

Not at all as advertised by the store, it's frustrating
I was lead to believe by the associate at checkout that by buying this protection plan, I could simply return the defective item to the store within 2 years and they would swap it out; this isn't even close to how the process works and Target isn't involved at all, it's all online/over the phone through Allstate's square trade program. Allstate is stating my item is not able to be replaced, even though it is still a current item at Target, and they are only able to send me a check for the purchase price. I think they just don't want to have to pay the extra $10 for the replacement item since it has increased in price over the past 1-1/2 years. I would never purchase an Allstate Protection Plan again, I'm beyond frustrated because now I have to pay the difference for a new electric toothbrush which defeats the entire purpose of buying their protection plan in the first place. I guess I'm getting back most of the new purchase price which is better than nothing at all, it's just not as advertised by the store. The only plus is that customer service is quick to respond to emails and phone calls.
