A: Hello Naz, Registration is purely optional and has to be completed online Squaretrade website. We need a copy of the purchase receipt at the time of filing a claim on your item. Whenever you have the time, you can easily upload the copy of the receipt online on your account. So that when you want to file a claim, it's already online and there are no delays. regards, Ali

Q: Square trade sent me confirmation of my 2 year protection plan, I accidentally put in the archive file. Now I can’t find that file. Can square trade send me another email of that confirmation?

Scam Allstate Warranty
After the cord broke in my phone, I reached out to Allstate to handle the warranty that I bought. This is my third of these cables in the past year. Each lasts just 3 months before breaking in the same way. After filing my Allstate claim, they indicated that I should contact the manufacturer myself because it was still under warranty and closed my claim. If I already had a manufacturer warranty and they’re not doing anything then they should return our money. I see a class action lawsuit.

Not at all as advertised by the store, it's frustrating
I was lead to believe by the associate at checkout that by buying this protection plan, I could simply return the defective item to the store within 2 years and they would swap it out; this isn't even close to how the process works and Target isn't involved at all, it's all online/over the phone through Allstate's square trade program. Allstate is stating my item is not able to be replaced, even though it is still a current item at Target, and they are only able to send me a check for the purchase price. I think they just don't want to have to pay the extra $10 for the replacement item since it has increased in price over the past 1-1/2 years. I would never purchase an Allstate Protection Plan again, I'm beyond frustrated because now I have to pay the difference for a new electric toothbrush which defeats the entire purpose of buying their protection plan in the first place. I guess I'm getting back most of the new purchase price which is better than nothing at all, it's just not as advertised by the store. The only plus is that customer service is quick to respond to emails and phone calls.

Not happy!
Clicked on protection plan by accident. Did not even see it on my list of items I was purchasing. Now being charged for it and Target website, actual order, and Allstate email does not state which item the protection is for, so I have no idea which electronic item is protected. Should not be charged for the protection plan and can not get a refund! Thank you for nothing!

Beware of Protection plans w Target no refunds
I would not recommend ding buying any electronics or anything where you need a digital protection plan. Beware they do not refund them at least on Amazon or any other online company will refund you if you have to return the product itself they’ll refund you the protection plan as well. Target does not what a scam.

Never got reimbursed
I had hoped this would be an easy process to cover an appliance. After my griddle failed, I tried to get it covered using this policy. After providing all required information, and selecting a target gift card at a reduced cost, I never got the gift card. I requested a follow up, and they said it was sent, but I never got the email. I got their response, but not the requested gift card. If “warranties” are this hard for an inexpensive appliance, I have no trust in something larger. I requested the card be resent, but did not hear back again. Save your money, do not add coverage.
