Since SquareTrade is an extended warranty, any existing warranty from a seller or manufacturer does take precedent over the SquareTrade warranty. For normal mechanical and electronic failures, our coverage begins after the manufacturer’s warranty expires. Most items are covered up to one year by the manufacturer. regards, Ali

    Shouldn't be offered

    They should never have offered this for an item that already comes with a 3-year warranty. This warranty will run out before the warranty that comes with the fan. If something goes wrong, they'll tell you to use the manufacturer warranty since that is still active. So buying this warranty was a complete waste of money. It would be a different story if they didn't run the warranties concurrently cause then you'd be covered for 5yrs. But they don't. So, yeah, a waste of money..

    Wont return item!!

    Purchased this with an air fryer as a gift but changed my mind and returned the airfryer. Even though it clearly states at the bottom of the allstate description under returns that it is returnable ... No one knows how to return it??!! And now I have to call allstate directly??? Target .... totally dishonest!!

    Warrenties not regundable?

    My wife purchased an item today and got the warranty, the item didn’t work and we returned it for a refund on the same day. At the customer service desk they refunded just the item and I got back in line to try to get the warranty cost back. We got it back but I was told that the store does not typically give the warranty back. How is the store going to keep the warranty cost especially since the product that had the warranty is in their possession and the item was returned the same day it was purchased.

    Why do I have to fule a claim theough a third party for a protection plan you sell for a thirty dollar item?!

    This is a joke. I got this “protection plan”for my coffee marker it broke in less then a year. Which is why I had the plan…But to replace it I need to file a claim through Allstate.. not the easiest way to do this. Target sells the plan but don’t they replace the item to make it easier on the customer. I did buy the coffee marker and insurance through Target?! Now I have to wait for a claim to replace this. Never again. The time isn’t worth the money I will save when they eventually replace the item.
