A: Should not be because it doesn't state that in description. It states $4.50 flat rate for 2 years warranty.

Q: I purchased a 2 year plan. I assume this is 2 years past the manufactures warranty and not 2 years from the purchase date.

A: Hello JeremyH, SquareTrade sells extended protection to cover above and beyond what your manufacturer covers. Since SquareTrade is an extended warranty, any existing warranty from a seller or manufacturer does take precedent over the SquareTrade warranty. For normal mechanical and electronic failures, our coverage begins after the manufacturer’s warranty expires. Most items are covered up to one year by the manufacturer. regards, Ali

My wife purchased an item today and got the warranty, the item didn’t work and we returned it for a refund on the same day. At the customer service desk they refunded just the item and I got back in line to try to get the warranty cost back. We got it back but I was told that the store does not typically give the warranty back. How is the store going to keep the warranty cost especially since the product that had the warranty is in their possession and the item was returned the same day it was purchased.

This is a joke. I got this “protection plan”for my coffee marker it broke in less then a year. Which is why I had the plan…But to replace it I need to file a claim through Allstate.. not the easiest way to do this. Target sells the plan but don’t they replace the item to make it easier on the customer. I did buy the coffee marker and insurance through Target?! Now I have to wait for a claim to replace this. Never again. The time isn’t worth the money I will save when they eventually replace the item.

I went to use this when the Toothbrush just stopped working and was told that I have to use the manufacturer warranty instead - which is 2 years, same as what I PAID FOR from this company. It’s a joke.

I am trying to cancel the policy within the 3-month cancellation period and neither the insurer or the merchant (Target) will enable me to cancel it). I am not looking for the $4 back: I just want a documentation of some sort stating the policy is cancelled.

wont cover item until manufacturers warranty is expired but 2 years starts ticking the moment you purchase so really it ends up being a 1 year warranty in the end, kind of misleading. however the low price vs how quickly things seem to need to be replaced. its worth it.
