A: Total Care normally contains alcohol. Listerine does, however, make a separate alcohol-free version.

I don't know what is happening with all the up and up products but the ones I usually buy have changed for the worse. This product and the green mouthwash both had a really awful after taste to them that was never there before. I originally thought I just got a bad product, but both versions had the same weird taste to them.

I bought this for the “eucalyptus” flavor, thinking I’d like it (I don’t love the intense mint flavor of anything), but it is the same flavor and ingredients as purple Listerine, which also includes eucalyptus lol. Something was wrong with this mouthwash. I’ve used this kind before but this last bottle had such a chemical taste. It was disgusting. Something is clearly wrong. Scared to continue using it so unfortunately have to throw out.

Terrible taste and smell. Idk if it always had alcohol in it, or if they just recently added alcohol to the ingredients, but the most recent one I bought smells like the cheap vodka you used to buy in college with your fake ID, and it’s tastes like that too. Avoid at all costs.

I’ve used this particular mouthwash for at least a few years now. Just bought another today and IT TASTED DISGUSTING! I thought it had an odd smell right when I opened it, but I gave it a try anyway. Can't believe it
I was always a firm believer that a mouth wash without alcohol couldn't possibly be effective. I don't know what's in that stuff but if you swich it hard enough in your mouth, it will feel like alcohol and more. I sometimes even notice my fresh breath in the morning (and, yeah, I know, I sound like a commercial agent or marketing guy but, it's true). The fact that's it's not the brand name is like the cherry on top and I thank god it doesn't taste like cherry syrup
