¹As of September 9, 2024, the Sleep Apnea Notification Feature is currently under FDA review and expected to be cleared this month, with availability on Apple Watch Series 9 and later and Apple Watch Ultra 2 this month. The feature is intended to detect signs of moderate to severe sleep apnea for people 18 years old or older without a diagnosis of sleep apnea.

Q: how acqurate is the watch in diagnosing afib
A: It saved my life in April 2023 on the first pick up. I’ve worn it faithfully and had it again this June and again in the last two weeks. As a nurse it is a great product. Check your pulse, do an ekg and send it to your doctor! Amazing technology
submitted byBarb - 4 months agoA: I let a friend put mine on after she had been formally diagnosed with Afib. It immediately and correctly confirmed it after the watch test. I'd say it's pretty accurate.
submitted byKen - 4 months agoA: Something else you can do with a Bluetooth smartwatch is wear a Polar (or Garmin, but their straps get stinky) heart rate monitor chest strap. The pulse readings watches take from the wrist measure blood flow, the ECG reading requires having the band tight, being still and holding a finger from the opposite hand to the crown. The chest straps won’t pick up AFIB, but will pick up the electrical activity of a fast heart relate due to tachycardia or AFIB

Q: Can it connect with my hearing aid?
A: My series 7 Apple watch connects to my Unitron hearing aids, so I would expect this updated version to work in this situation.

Q: Does the Apple Watch bands of the other generations fit on this Apple Watch?
A: Yes. For the 42mm watch, 40 and 41 mm bands work too. For the 46mm watch, 44 and 45mm bands work too. Older 42mm bands(pre-Series 10) will only work with the 46mm watch.
