I'm a senior lady & use this ointment on my entire body. It's particularly good for skin conditions common to post-menopausal women. My doctor has approved its use. Very gentle & so soothing to skin that has thinned due to aging & hormone-deficient atrophy, which commonly has a tendency to crack & even form tiny tears. I have found it brings softness & suppleness--even restored normal color--to my skin. As long as you don't have an allergy to lanolin, I highly recommend it. I use the more economical 14 oz jar for daily use & buy the 7 oz tube for travel. To me, it works better than CeraVe's Healing Ointment & Eucerin's Original Healing Cream--even though both of these products are quite good, too.

So many uses for one product, I like to use it as a heavy duty moisturizer during winter (hands, elbows, knees, ankles) mild diaper rashes on the baby, good for slugging once a week, I also use it when I shave my face (my eyebrows would grow into my hairline if I don’t intervene so I shave it twice a month)

It’s works fine for really dry skin and lips, but I realized that I paid $12 for a tube of Vaseline! The product is clear, thick, and odorless. The main ingredient in this is petrolatum jelly, so it’s very greasy on the skin. I feel a bit silly for not reading the ingredients before I bought this product. Maybe it works differently for some people, but for me I think I’ll save the extra $7+ next time and just buy Vaseline.

Great use for my eczema. Recommended by my dermatologist. I have tried every cream/ointment under the sun. Does leave hands greasy but I wear it overnight with gloves. I also use for chapped lips! This bottle is difficult and I have my husband help squeeze enough out because it’s hard to do one handed. Especially if the bottle is a little cool.
