This is a reasonably prices item for a stocking stuffer. It doesn’t appear to be made to last for long.

Ohmygoodness, I still have the original from from the early 80s. My son, who is 7, loves the older version lol. But, this is great for kids who are above average. My son gets so bored with toys, it's difficult to challenge him. The original 1982 version is more challenging though.

This puzzle is lots of fun, definitely takes a while to learn how to maneuver it. For parents I recommend looking up “how to solve orb puzzle”. I wouldn’t say this toy is for 7 year olds definitely like 12+. It is a bit loud due to all the twisting parts, much more than a rubix cube. Sometimes hard to twist as all parts needs to be lined up, or the “orb” bits can get stuck in certain sections. Overall I am happy with this toy. I feel like it’s worth the price.

Very clunky and hard to turn

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really didn’t enjoy this fidget toy very much. It was very hard to turn and it was difficult to get the rows to line up such that you were able to move the beads around. I think the concept is neat but it was just too clunky to be any fun. If they improved the design and made it turn more easily, it could be a really fun toy to keep you busy for quite a while. Bottom line, I would not recommend this toy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Is it fun, yes. But there is a learning curve with younger children, which makes playing a tad more complicated. The kids had fun which is most important, but they did tire of game relatively quickly which isn’t a good thing in my book. I think we will keep trying to see if it will grow on them, but definitely something different for family game night.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product arrived and my daughter was so excited!! She couldn’t wait to try it out! She loves the rubics cube and i would say this really compares to that! It’s quite the challenge!! You have to twist it up and mix the colors and then match them all together again!! We loved a good challenge!! We loved it!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was really fun - both to puzzle and to just move around! It’s very satisfying in a tactile way, and beautiful to boot! It’s definitely for older kids/adults, but even my young daughter enjoyed moving it!

Poor Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was not super impressed by the quality of this. It’s make up of cheaper, lightweight plastic. The pegs grind on the sides, and can get caught up on the tracks. I like the idea of this, and it’s fun in theory, but the execution just isn’t there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never heard of this before and wanted arrived. I kind of was confused. It does take a little bit of a learning curve to figure out what to do and it is very difficult at least in my opinion but it is challenging and it is fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Atomix to me is like the rubix cube! Loads It’s described as medium difficulty but I think it’s a bit more than that, would be a great gift for a kid on a car or plane ride.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sphere is fun and entertaining, it is actually fairly challenging but not frustrating. The turning mechanism isn’t the smoothest, so if you are a cuber, you will be left wanting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love that this is a compact toy and portable. It is similar to a Rubik’s cube type of game in that memory and matching are the main components. I’m happy to have a non-electronic toy without tiny pieces (!) for my 8 year old who likes to fidget.
