Badger SPF 40 Sport Mineral Sunscreen Tin is a reef-friendly sport sunscreen ideal for long days in the surf and sun. Unscented and formulated with natural zinc oxide, it’s the first formula ever to achieve the rigorous Protect Land + Sea Certification*. This waterless, antioxidant-rich sunscreen is made with just four ingredients that are 98% organic, including sunflower oil and vitamin E, to leave skin nourished and protected. Cruelty free, made with solar power, and packaged in an infinitely recyclable tin.

For full protection, apply liberally (2mg/sq cm of skin) to exposed skin 15 minutes before sun exposure, then rub in to reduce whitening effect. Reapply: After 80 minutes of swimming or sweating. Immediately after towel drying. At least every 2 hours. Sun Protection Measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this rick of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: Limit time and other sun, especially from 10am-2pm. I have seen Badger products for years, and always loved the Tin packaging so much, but had never bought anything. To make a long story short: I am a mineral-only sunscreen gal. I have scoured the globe (almost literally - LOL) for good face SPF with higher-than-30 protection, good ingredients, and NO WHITE CAST. Another thing I was seeking is moisture for my poor dry skin. I use retinoids too if that's of any consequence. I honestly had low expectations for this product as I figured "there's no way this high of an spf in mineral form will leave no cast"…I was SO WRONG. This product leaves little to no white cast on my face, works perfectly under makeup unlike most mineral products, and is like a DRINK OF WATER for my skin. I'm HOOKED. It delivers such moisture with no irritation and amazing protection. I do not go anywhere without my badger sunscreen, and now I'm trying all the other products too! Badger — NEVER change this product or your awesome packaging. Your skin will LOVE it.

Probably the best mineral sunscreen I've tried; although it takes a bit of elbow grease, it does rub in nicely, and the white cast is very minimal, and nearly non-existent after it absorbs into the skin after a while. Non-offensive odor, and the sun blocking capability has been great so far, as I primarily use it on a tattoo I recently got. I wouldn't recommend this if you're wanting something to use on large areas of your body, as you'll run out fairly quickly. For my use, though, I expect a single tin to last me a while, so I feel like I got my money's worth.

I can easily apply this sunscreen every time I go out in the sun. No sunburn, cooling to my skin and I love that it comes in a tin! No plastic! Yeah! I've recommended it to my sustainability project friends…over 300 of them!

I love the Badger products and have been using them for many years. I love this new eco packaging. This would be the perfect sunscreen if the zinc was non-nano. It used to be mentioned on the packaging of previous versions, "non-nano zinc", but not anymore. Can you confirm if the new versions have non-nano zinc too?

Different agencies around the world have different parameters that define “nano” or “non-nano”, so we have opted not to use this language on our packaging of our sunscreens. Here are the facts about our clear zinc sunscreens:
The clear zinc particles in our sunscreens range from 5 to 90 times larger than 100nm. Nanoparticles are any particles smaller than 100nm, or 100 billionths of a meter. They contain no free nanoparticles. This is independently verified using light scatter analysis that is very effective at identifying free nanoparticles.
Clear zinc oxide has the same outstanding safety and efficacy of standard non-nano zinc oxide. It won't absorb into your body, it won't harm the environment, and it provides excellent UVA and UVB protection.

I've been buying this sunscreen for several years now. This is the best mineral sunscreen for beach & pool activities because it stays put for quite a long time. I've used others that were much thinner consistency and I won't go back to them.

This has saved me so much money and feels great because it is all natural and environmentally friendly. Reef safe and plastic free too! I started using this as a more heavy duty sun protectant for the melasma on my face. Because of this I started downsizing my makeup routine. Now after over a year of use this is great for sun protection, moisturizer and makeup primer! I never break out anymore and it rubs in clear if you give it time. It makes my skin soft and smooth and sometimes I don't even wear foundation anymore. It really has helped!! One tin lasts for a few months with daily use on the face. In the summer I will purchase more since I will use for my whole body. Miracle product! You won't be disappointed.

Currently I am using your Badger sport mineral sun screen on my face over my moisturizer and really like its feel, purity, ingredients and protection from the sun. I'm permanently staying away from purchasing other manufacturer's facial creams that include sunscreen protection because their sunscreen ingredients are not as pure as I expect them to be. It gives me cause for concern that top manufacturers use questionable sunscreen ingredients which cause me to now wonder about the other multitude of ingredients they choose to put in their facial and body creams. BADGER THAN YOU FOR YOUR PURE INGREDIENTS AND FOR PACKAGING IN RECYCLABLE TIN CONTAINERS INSTEAD OF PLASTIC!

I have had an excellent experience with all of the Badger products I've tried so far and this was my latest purchase. I've only used it once but I was impressed with how easily it rubbed in and how nice it felt on my skin. I have sensitive combination skin and this sunblock didn't pill or cause any dryness. It did leave me shiny but I followed it up with a little translucent powder and my face looked like it did in the pic included here. I also really like how this product has such a minimal ingredient list.

The product worked okay as far as I can tell, and I appreciate the ingredients in it. I wasn't a fan of the process to get the sunscreen out of the tin. I'll be trying the cream to hopefully have a better experience.
