Badger SPF 40 Sport Mineral Sunscreen Tin is a reef-friendly sport sunscreen ideal for long days in the surf and sun. Unscented and formulated with natural zinc oxide, it’s the first formula ever to achieve the rigorous Protect Land + Sea Certification*. This waterless, antioxidant-rich sunscreen is made with just four ingredients that are 98% organic, including sunflower oil and vitamin E, to leave skin nourished and protected. Cruelty free, packaged in a 50% PCR tube, and made with solar power.

Lasted for hours
The material is thick but not very hard to apply. Recently ran an ultramarathon and was in the sun in and out of the sun for the entire day. Heavy sweating for the first 5 hours. I slowed down after that but continued for over 13 hours. Sun was out all day and course was only partially shaded - so lots of exposure. I did not need to re-apply. This product is phenomenal.

Least white cast of any mineral sunscreen!
I love the sunscreen for my entire family as it does not leave a white cast on our skin nor does it leave a mineral buildup on car seats, etc. Badger, I would like to request much larger tubes of your products as we go through tubes in our family very quickly!! Pretty please!

Love this for our family of 6. It’s very thick, but is 100% clear after rubbing in—zero white cast. I also legit love how it makes me look all glowy after I put it on, hehe. It does need to be re-applied after about an hour in intense sun, but if you stay on top of the applications there will be zero burns. I have two red-heads and they have not ever gotten burnt when wearing this SS. The negative comments I’ve gotten from friends who have borrowed it is the consistency and thickness (some say it makes them feel “greasy”lol), and that it takes some scrubbing to get off. Personally, I like that it’s thick and doesn’t just come off when in the water/while sweating, but it does wash off after a good scrub in the shower. We love it!! It’s our go-to over all other sunscreens.

I have tried so many zinc based sunscreens that do not leave a white cast on the skin & I finally found one! One downside is that it is very thick & hard to squeeze out. It is a very heavy sunscreen & you can definitely feel it on you, but I like that. It makes me feel very moisturized & not dry.

It was very thick and hard to apply. My kids also burned in a short amount of time (in the sun less than 90 minutes wearing this product). Worst protection I have seen out of a sunscreen.

Highly recommend
I love this sunscreen, it is a little bit hard to put it on because it is thick but it doesn't bother me . I take to the beach so the heat makes a little softer. Does leave a bit of a white cast but I rather have that than get burn! 100% recommend saves you from the burning sun and keeps the coral reef save! Love the clean ingredients never going back to conventional sunscreen!

Perfect for Eczema Sufferers
I bought this product after spending 3 summers, buying at least a half dozen sunscreens, and spending $150+ on other products. Every other product I tried including ones labeled "sensitive" or "eczema safe" just caused a flare up for my daughter. Badger Sport is the only product that hasn't caused her issues. She loves spending outside and I am relieved to have finally found a product that she can wear with no issues!! If you do buy the product, warm the tube up in your hands for a few minutes and it goes on much easier!

I may be too old for this product
It was dense and sticky. Since I'm in mid 60's, it was hard to wash off & pulled at my skin. It did a nice job with the SPF. I might recommend it for younger skin.

Our family's favorite spf. It's a bit hard to get out of the tube, but is velvety and moisturizing when rubbed in. It has even helped my daughter's eczema on her face that is triggered by the sun. Highly reccomend this one. Good line and we use many of their other products.

I don't know how some folks don't absolutely love this product. My family has been using it for years. It's thick for a reason: it protects you without all the garbage poison that's in other sunscreens. There's like 5 ingredients, it's clean, inexpensive, and does the job. I am a beach volleyball player and swear by this product. Thank you!!!

Our Clear zinc oxide is non-nano so there will still be a physical, mineral layer on your skin that won't absorb into living tissue, but it should be virtually invisible on most skin tones once it is well-blended. For darker skin tones, we would recommend our SPF Daily or Face which were specially formulated for spreadability, broader skin tones, and a light, absorbent feel. However, if your skin was irritated, you may have an ingredient sensitivity in which case we'd advise checking with your doctor and conducting skin patch tests for new products prior to broader application. Would NOT recommend
Horribly thick, its supposed to be hypoallergenic but after applying to 4 different people, each had an allergic reaction. Did not protect from the sun at all, we all got burnt to aHorribly crisp with multiple applications. NOT worth the money.

We are so sorry you had such a terrible experience! A few different things to address here but sunburn and skin reactions are most certainly not what you should expect from a Badger sunscreen. Per thickness, our sunscreens are somewhat thicker than conventional, water-based lotions but the fact that they are waterless is what makes them incredibly good for your skin and short on harsh preservatives and unnecessary ingredients. In terms of 4 different skin reactions, we would definitely want to better understand what happened here. We use food grade ingredients and full disclosure labeling. With only 4 ingredients in the formula and no hidden additives or fragrance, it's astonishing to hear that 4 different people would share the same unidentified ingredient allergy! It is very likely that sharing one tube of sunscreen amongst 4 people would contribute to lowered protection, however. This is a 2.9oz tube of sunscreen which does not contain enough sunscreen to support a group this size. I don't see a record of sale on our website but if you could provide our customer service team with further information such as lot number, exp, and place of purchase, we'll be glad to help you make a return.
