Great looking sandbox and the cedar is really quality, but the assembly was poor. Multiple pieces didn’t fit so we had to Jerry-rig in a few places. Also the bench pieces don’t fit to cover the sandbox completely. Overall disappointing purchase.

Disappointed. Had a cracked piece upon receipt. Couldn’t get a replacement piece but was given a discount which was good customer service. Screws don’t stay in. Does not weather well. Looks bad after on year and we even added water sealant to it. Would not recommend.

Hard to assemble they need to make a video to show you how to make it’s super complicated and the instructions are not clear some pictures show some of parts turned back wards that don’t help will be returning this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sandbox eventually got our needs and expectations. The directions were able to follow and the wood smells amazing. The size was accurate as well as how it looks. The problem was that after three attempts to close the sandbox, the wood strips on the inside were preventing the sandbox to shut completely. After two different people put it together and it was still unable to shut, I knew it was a product problem and not an issue of following the directions incorrectly. I had to saw the strips off maybe about 1.5”-2” off and then it fit well enough to shut the sandbox.

Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is when you close the cover there’s still about a 1 inch gap so it’s definitely not water/bug proof.

The seats keep them up out the sand if they don’t want to sit in it. The folding top helps keep the sand clean from wandering kitties!!! This is a great item for imaginative, outdoor play.

We had to use this sandbox as a raised bed garden! our little guy didn't even get to use it one time before the sand was soaking wet. it never dried out and quickly got buggy! such a waste of money. it should come with a special over or some way to waterproof the lid.

Grandkids love it but description is not accurate. No adult can sit on it without your knees in your throat. It has a fabric you put on the ground and put the sandbox on so it’s a real bottom. The doors when closed has a 3-4 inch gap so isn’t completely closed. But it’s a good thing for the kids and that’s what matters.

The screws used for the hinges should be longer, and it takes some additional adjustments to have it fit together without gaping so use the instructions as a basic guide, and use your own judgment.
